0:00Speaker 0Welcome back to the Peptide of the Week. I'm your host, JD Dem. Across the way is my buddy, my good buddy, William T. Haas. What's up, brother? How you doing? What's up, man?
0:10Speaker 0Excited to be here today. We have a lot
0:14Speaker 0but
0:15Speaker 0man, what a cool thing. This channel's growing
0:18Speaker 0quickly. I don't think neither of us expected that. We just wanted to start talking about peptides and people seem to like it. How cool is that?
0:26Speaker 0That's awesome. Awesome. Great. Good. That's the point. Right. The Q and A section was obviously well liked. A lot of people like that. So just let the people know, let the listeners know. We will be doing that every Friday. I'll be putting on my story on my social media channels on how you can leave us questions and ask us questions about anything, anything you wanna know about peptides,
0:46Speaker 0anything that you wanna know about health, fitness,
0:49Speaker 0hormone replacements. We are not doctors. We don't pretend to be doctors. We are just guys that love this type of stuff and we have been engulfed in it for a very long time. So we don't have all the answers, but we'll give you our best
1:01Speaker 0opinions on certain things because we love it. Simple as that. That's right. So today, yeah, today, I say this every time, but it's 1 of my favorites. This is actually 1 of my favorites. Thymosin Alpha-one, TA-one.
1:14Speaker 0I like this 1. It's just these huge benefits are immunity. I'll kick us off with that, but that's just gonna be the main objective of this peptide is immunity, boosting immunity.
1:25Speaker 0So Will, tell us a little bit about it and what does it do?
1:28Speaker 1Okay, so Thymosin
1:29Speaker 1Alpha-one.
1:31Speaker 1Yeah, it is there to it's really a
1:35Speaker 1it's there to help our immune system. And I wouldn't say
1:39Speaker 1it's kind of a it doesn't just, hey, put the immune system on overdrive.
1:44Speaker 1It's a smart
1:47Speaker 1it's a smart peptide. It really regulates. It knows it's kind of a thermostat, I guess, for our body, right? It knows when our
1:55Speaker 1immune system is overactive,
1:58Speaker 1okay? And then it will put
2:01Speaker 1in some like T regulatory cells and slow it down when the when they when we have autoimmune
2:07Speaker 1disorders, right? We have something going on like that.
2:11Speaker 1Then when we are immunosuppressed,
2:13Speaker 1when our immune system is too low,
2:15Speaker 1it will
2:17Speaker 1boost that up, right?
2:19Speaker 1And
2:21Speaker 1that's all 1 of the biggest benefits that we'll actually see. It all really
2:26Speaker 1ends in
2:27Speaker 1anti inflammation.
2:29Speaker 1Because as our immune system as
2:34Speaker 1things attack us, right? Infectious diseases,
2:37Speaker 1right? That kills off cells and those and
2:41Speaker 1that causes inflammation everywhere, right? And if we and this is really gonna help reduce that and
2:47Speaker 1it reduces inflammation. So anybody,
2:51Speaker 1this actually is probably is 1 that I have probably been taking more consistently than
2:55Speaker 1any other
2:57Speaker 1peptide.
2:58Speaker 1And well, lo and behold, I have never been, I haven't been sick.
3:02Speaker 1I can't
3:04Speaker 1tell you the last time I've been sick.
3:06Speaker 1I
3:07Speaker 1even
3:08Speaker 1figured out that I was, like, drinking mold for 2 weeks every day all day long.
3:13Speaker 1Yum. Didn't notice a damn thing that happened bad to me. So,
3:18Speaker 1and,
3:19Speaker 0yeah, and I mean, who doesn't want to reduce inflammation. Right? People are always constantly talking about that. That's a source of a lot of pain. Right to the food we eat, man. We eat 0.5. Yeah. Mean, this world this world is inflamed by this crap food, seed oils. Oh, god. So this is huge. Absolutely.
3:36Speaker 1I
3:37Speaker 1really it's I think we just kinda keep it simple. It is there to to
3:42Speaker 1yeah, to really help regulate
3:44Speaker 1our immune system.
3:46Speaker 0Yeah. I think that like we sit on that for a 2nd because that that is what so I love about this peptide in particular immunity.
3:54Speaker 0Everybody wants
3:55Speaker 0a good immune system for obvious reasons, but if it's overactive,
4:00Speaker 0it's going to cause If your body's overactive immune system, it starts fighting itself. For example, I've had a really bad autoimmune issue for a long time.
4:08Speaker 0And so I have 1st time knowledge of just having an autoimmune issue and just kind of some of the hell that comes along with some of that stuff, man. So that's kind of why I started studying it,
4:19Speaker 0know, a while back and I just fell in love with it just because of that, you know, where it's
4:23Speaker 0not just boosting your immunity for people to have an autoimmunity, it's going to calm it down. It's going to be that beacon
4:30Speaker 0that reads your body. How cool is that? Yep, that's really cool. I even have
4:36Speaker 1heck, I got a text from
4:38Speaker 1a girl the other day who sent me she was tracking her doctor was tracking her,
4:45Speaker 1yes, autoimmune disorder,
4:47Speaker 1right? And from based on a graph and she's been taking this and
4:51Speaker 1she's she sent me us texts and I mean,
4:54Speaker 1it has just down to nonexistent
4:57Speaker 1now. Yeah, that is so cool. Holy crap, you've like saved my life.
5:02Speaker 0Yeah, so I have my wife, anybody that knows and watched my channel knows that we have a little kid and, you know, she's always, know, kids are everywhere. She drops them off, blah blah. So they're always getting sick for obvious reasons, and my wife was getting sick a lot. She really was.
5:16Speaker 0And we went out to Cancun a while back, I don't know, a few months ago, and honestly, Will, like, it was a huge wedding party. I was on taking Thymosin Alpha, you know, and this entire wedding party, and I'm not, I'm talking like over 20 people came back sick,
5:31Speaker 0really sick. My wife was destroyed.
5:33Speaker 0My boys were both sick. My wife was like in bed sick. It was a rough week, and I was the only 1 that didn't get sick. Now, will tell you, I'm not someone that gets sick that often. I never really have, but I was taking Thymosin Alpha, man, and I was 1 of the very few that didn't get hit out of that wedding party. There was something in the food or something.
5:51Speaker 1Yeah. You know what? We hear this with all of these peptides, like, right, where
5:56Speaker 1I mean, some of this evidence is too too obvious to ignore. Like Right. These things are are actually working.
6:02Speaker 0Yeah. Yeah. Right. She's she's already taking it. And now a cool story part of that story is she has not been sick since. She talks about if you even ask her what's her favorite, it's Thymosin Alpha because
6:11Speaker 1she hasn't been sick since she's been taking it. That's dope. That's that's cool. Yeah. That's cool. So, you know, a couple of thing, like, people who should be so those I mean, I wish that people knew about this during COVID.
6:24Speaker 1Whatever your opinions are with COVID, I don't know. I never had it. But Yeah. That's right.
6:29Speaker 1It's and those who are affected with this long COVID still,
6:34Speaker 1it's it's an absolute I mean, you you should be doing it. It it is. It's being studied to it's gonna help out
6:42Speaker 1people taking it for like cancer treatments
6:45Speaker 1to help out disease and viral infections
6:50Speaker 0on
6:51Speaker 1a large scale,
6:53Speaker 1boosting actual immunization shots,
6:56Speaker 1which whatever your
6:58Speaker 1opinion on that is. It
7:01Speaker 0is supposed to enhance vaccines,
7:03Speaker 0so regardless if you like them or not,
7:06Speaker 0there you go.
7:07Speaker 1You do you. Yeah, you do you. But the stuff seems to be really, really helping. Yeah.
7:14Speaker 0I mean, the obvious, the obvious for anybody listening that this is the 1st time they're hearing about it is, man, this should be in your back pocket no matter what. If you're flying, going on vacation,
7:23Speaker 0if you're around kids all the time, you know, like someone that works at a daycare, they would thrive on this because those kids are getting sick for obvious reasons, man. They're building their own immune system. So
7:33Speaker 0Thymosin Alpha or T1 to keep it simple. It's just this should be a staple in
7:38Speaker 0your regimen for sure. You
7:41Speaker 0know, I mean, it's been around for a long time. You know, I mean, all these peptides, a lot of them have, you know, but I think it's it they founded it in 1972,
7:50Speaker 0but they started becoming used in like hospital settings and for cancer and what mid-80s to the 90s, you know, to treat cancer type stuff.
7:59Speaker 0So where it's coming, it's where it's evolved now to just, know, and it's for research purposes only,
8:04Speaker 0but for humans, man,
8:06Speaker 1this should be in most people listening to this arsenal. Plain and simple. Yep. Yep. And I know doctors. I know plenty of people who are doctors are
8:15Speaker 1telling them to take this.
8:17Speaker 0Oh, really? Do you really? Wow. That's interesting. Yep.
8:21Speaker 1Yeah. Like that girl, like the girl who I talked about, right, or the it was her doctor telling her to take it, and then they were tracking her immune,
8:28Speaker 1her disorder. Right? Well, that's right.
8:31Speaker 0Yeah, I wanna so I'll touch on something a little quick just for anybody that's interesting. Like I said, I've been battling an autoimmune issue for a very long time. Years. I was running a mortgage company and at the time and literally overnight,
8:45Speaker 0I had to dress nice and I can wear a hat at the time.
8:49Speaker 0I started getting these big golf ball sized welts on my head overnight. It was insane. I'm like, the hell is this? Like, what is this? You know? And like, they would wilt over and they were pusy. It was disgusting. I don't even like talking about it. But this was going on in my life. So what happened was obvious. I started going to doctors, right? Numerous doctors and
9:10Speaker 0literally like 8 or 9. Like I was trying to fix this problem. It was horrible. I had to stand in front of 50 salesmen doing presentations
9:18Speaker 0with these things on my head. Sucked. So each doctor
9:22Speaker 0gave me the same verdict, man, the same death sentence, to speak, which was, Man, that sucks. It's a very bad autoimmune issue.
9:30Speaker 0It's so rare that they don't study it. So
9:33Speaker 0here, take some antibiotics, man. Good luck. I'm like, Dude, are you kidding me? That's all you got, which,
9:40Speaker 0long story short, ultimately,
9:42Speaker 0me taking my health into my own hands and starting to study and go, Okay, well, I'm not cool with that verdict. So I just started trying to Will knows me a long time, man. I've always been into different diets and stuff, but this time I had an How do I fix this damn thing on my head? And I'm a true believer in what we put into our body can heal us. I know that, I believe that the 2nd brain
10:05Speaker 0is our gut, and I believe through my drug addiction and certain things I used to do to myself, I think I destroyed my gut. So that's where, that was the genesis of this. So I started studying diets, blah, blah, blah. And long story short, I fell onto the carnivore high fat diet
10:19Speaker 0and did it religiously once I started studying and then it does have the potential to cure autoimmune
10:25Speaker 0and it did for a while, It really did. It helped
10:29Speaker 0radically
10:30Speaker 0improve
10:30Speaker 0my autoimmune issue. Now, the
10:33Speaker 0end of that story is this,
10:35Speaker 0Will knows me well, man. I am a strict on my diet. If I say I'm gonna do something, damn it, I stick to my word.
10:42Speaker 0I love that about myself. But the last few months entered this little thing called
10:47Speaker 0Retta or GLP-three,
10:50Speaker 0which has allowed me to
10:52Speaker 0not have to be so strict, damn it. And the reason I say that, guys, is my diet's gone down a little bit, the strictness, and I've entered in more carbs and different things. And now
11:04Speaker 0I'm having these huge freaking flares again. So the point of that whole story is 1, food really can help fix you. So what you put into your body has that much ability to help or fix.
11:17Speaker 0And 2, that's kind of why I fell on the Thymosin Alpha studying it and whatnot just because of this high immune system, because again, it's going to help
11:25Speaker 0me
11:25Speaker 0if my body is being overactive
11:28Speaker 0on the immune system. Do you know what I mean? So pretty cool story. So for those listening, man, diet, diet, diet. We talk about peptides all the time, but man, the genesis of your health
11:39Speaker 0starts with what you put into your mouth
11:42Speaker 1daily. True. You know what I mean? True that. Like all of these things, yeah, Don't just
11:48Speaker 1sit like cats, do nothing, and eat like crap, take a drug, think that the drug is gonna help you. Right.
11:54Speaker 1Everything needs to come 1st. Your, you know, your own work ethic,
11:59Speaker 1got diet and exercise.
12:01Speaker 1For a reason. All of that needs to really be keyed in. It doesn't need to be perfect. Right? Nobody's asking anybody to be perfect. Right? You're a little bit you or die you are strict with your diet when you want to be.
12:15Speaker 1But it's not necessarily that strict, everybody. So don't let it scare you away. Right? This is not like an all or nothing, but damn. People get your,
12:23Speaker 1yeah. You had to get your work ethic down and be consistent.
12:28Speaker 1And then everything else you take, then it starts to just, you know, just synergistically
12:33Speaker 1work.
12:34Speaker 0Yeah. You know, for men, the hormones,
12:37Speaker 0exercise. If you're somebody that is
12:41Speaker 0not someone that's hit the gym his whole life like Will and I, we get that. We get that. We worked with a lot of people in fitness for a very long time, but
12:49Speaker 0we stack little wins, guys. You stack little wins. Like, just get to the gym today, right, just today. And you start stacking that win that win, you know, and just kind of change change some sort of things in your diet. You know, if you're someone that needs to cut weight,
13:03Speaker 0you know, instead of eating those fries, you know, cut out the fries today. You know? Little wins like that, you know? Again, you start to get the
13:12Speaker 0snowball
13:13Speaker 0of success. 1st, you gotta get it moving. And how you get it moving is you get moving. Yeah. And then you start to build it and you will see, man, it's kind of euphoric once you start to see your
13:25Speaker 0discipline turn into benefits and something your life start to get better.
13:30Speaker 0It's amazing how radically it improves your brain, you know, and just wanting more of that, wanting to do better and educating yourself on that stuff. You know I mean? Yep. And as far as food too, it's like amazing how how fast we forget, right, when you if you can just
13:45Speaker 1get away from maybe the sweets or whatever it is that you really like, right, you'd you've pretty quickly forget that you really like that and you forget how good it was. Kinda like with her addiction, you know, every day that I'm further away from using whatever,
13:59Speaker 1the drugs,
14:00Speaker 1I
14:02Speaker 1forget how cool it was.
14:04Speaker 1Yeah, right. You know, that's why it's harder at the beginning.
14:09Speaker 1But yeah, man, little wins, little wins,
14:13Speaker 1and before you know it,
14:14Speaker 1those things stack up. But it's physics, right? Body in motion tends to stay in motion. Body at rest or an object at rest tends to stay at rest. Right? There's all momentum,
14:27Speaker 1whichever way you choose, man. Every decision's taking you further away
14:31Speaker 0or closer to your goal. Yeah, you're you're making the decision today and regardless it's gonna either gonna feed the wheat side, right? You're gonna eat those chili cheese chili cheese fries or you're gonna decide to not. Right? That's what you stack negatives or you stack positives, man, and they start to compound regardless of which direction. How did I, hell did I gain 30 pounds? Well, you've been stacking negative, bro.
14:54Speaker 0You know I mean? Like, it doesn't happen overnight. You didn't gain that 30 pounds overnight, man. You've been eating like shit for a few months. That's right. You know what mean? Again, we talk about peptides because we love them. And once you start to truly
15:07Speaker 0research them and just see how amazing these, and then you start to try them on yourself and you do see this is actually real
15:14Speaker 0And they motivate you. But again,
15:16Speaker 0they ain't gonna do anything for you if you're over here way overweight and you're eating chips and stuff on the couch still and you're not exercising. The peptide's not gonna mean anything. So don't even waste your money. Know what I mean? Start with your mindset.
15:30Speaker 1True.
15:31Speaker 0You know what mean? Yep. Who would you say I mean, this is always an easy 1, but man, I can go on on on this 1. Who should be taking Thymosin Alpha?
15:40Speaker 1Everybody who doesn't so I guess, look, dude, everybody who doesn't wanna sick, again, no pregnant women, no children.
15:47Speaker 1Anybody who doesn't wanna get sick, if you have some autoimmune disorder,
15:51Speaker 1it's worth a shot. Right? Be consistent though.
15:57Speaker 1Anybody again who's traveling, you're on an airplane, you work in childcare, you have little kids, you work in
16:03Speaker 1hell, a treatment center, right, all of our friends who own treatment centers are working there, right, they're constantly surrounded by people. Shaking hands, yeah. Always
16:11Speaker 1always sick or just just being
16:12Speaker 1trapped in a small space with lots of other people. Yeah.
16:16Speaker 1You know, elder
16:17Speaker 1people, right, with whose immune systems are compromised.
16:22Speaker 1People who have
16:24Speaker 1long COVID
16:25Speaker 1and
16:26Speaker 1they're not it's not going away and it's not going away.
16:30Speaker 1Anybody who has any type of chronic inflammation,
16:34Speaker 1like my mother, for example, she has like early COPD. She smoked cigarettes forever. And we have
16:43Speaker 1got her on this and like basically what it's doing, it is reducing inflation. 1 of the big problems with COPD is you have all of this inflammation in your lungs and
16:51Speaker 1it's hard for you to breathe, And she is noticeably
16:55Speaker 1able to breathe better, although she just had brain surgery and said that all these peptides are helping too much.
17:02Speaker 1And so she needs to stop the peptides because she wants to see what the brain surgery has helped her with. Oh my gosh. Sounds like your mom. Yeah, but
17:11Speaker 0so that's all, yeah, whatever. Yeah, I mean, people that maybe like me that are battling an autoimmune issue, which geez, man. I mean, so many people are these days. You know, I'm not gonna tell you with firsthand, it doesn't fix it overnight and by no means,
17:25Speaker 0but if you compound this with a diet and exercise and whatnot,
17:29Speaker 0this is gonna help, man. Again, you're like me, your body is maybe being overactive with the immune system and that's why you have an autoimmune issue regardless
17:37Speaker 0of what you have.
17:40Speaker 0Anybody, like Will said, I think is going to benefit from this. It should be in anybody's arsenal. Take my wife's word for it. Once she started taking it, man, she'll tell you it's her favorite.
17:51Speaker 0Keeps her from not getting sick around these kids.
17:54Speaker 0Cool, man. Any type of dosage you wanna talk about?
17:57Speaker 1I generally just like for me, what I do is I take it I take it daily.
18:04Speaker 0Me too. And
18:06Speaker 1I have a 10 mg bottle,
18:09Speaker 1and I'm taking 0.5 of a milligram a day,
18:13Speaker 1okay, which I so I've so I add 2 mils of bacteriostatic water
18:17Speaker 1and then I inject 10 units
18:21Speaker 1on the insulin syringe. 10 units. Right?
18:24Speaker 1On an insulin syringe that has 100.
18:27Speaker 1So that's
18:29Speaker 1so it's 0.1
18:30Speaker 1of a milliliter.
18:32Speaker 1Yeah.
18:33Speaker 1Equal down to 0.5 of a milligram.
18:35Speaker 0Yeah, and we've talked about it numerous times, but it's worth talking about it more. I mean, once you start to understand peptides and like dosages and stuff like that,
18:44Speaker 0when you keep it simple, when you start to understand like how many milliliters
18:48Speaker 0it takes to put into the bottle to do maybe 10 units. And if you're taking, you know, anywhere from 3 to 4 peptides, if you can keep it to where you just keep all of them at 10 units,
18:57Speaker 1kind of keep it simple, man. You start to simplify life after you have a little experience. Exactly. So for example, if I had a bottle that was so that happens to be 10, a nice round number. Let's say I had a bottle but it contained 15, and this is something people you can't change. You get
19:13Speaker 1what you get. So, if
19:15Speaker 1my bottle is 15 mg
19:17Speaker 1of the actual
19:19Speaker 1drug in it, right, then
19:22Speaker 1I could add, like, for example, I would add, like, instead of I would add
19:27Speaker 115 or 1.5
19:29Speaker 1mLs of water, right? Then
19:32Speaker 1every 10 units would equal
19:35Speaker 11 mg.
19:37Speaker 1Whereas I had a 10 mil 10 mg bottle if I added just 1 mil of water,
19:42Speaker 0every 10 units would equal 1 mg. Right. Which sounds pretty much water you want. Yeah, it's gonna be confusing as hell if that's the 1st time you've heard that. But again, like anything, you start tying your shoes, you tie them better the more you do it. You'll start to understand that stuff. And then again, you'll start to simplify
19:57Speaker 0your stuff. And there's a lot of cool websites out there and stuff that you could have and can't even find anything on YouTube, dude, on how to
20:05Speaker 0pull it out. Know what mean? You can do Those peptide calculators out there. They're rad. Yeah, they're cool. And so, yeah, that's a it's a great peptide. We love it. It's very simple. It's gonna work for both sides. If you're overactive immune system or if you need to boost your immune system, if you're going on a trip, you're if gonna be traveling,
20:22Speaker 0if you're around kids, blah blah blah, just be this should be in your arsenal for sure.
20:27Speaker 0What I'm gonna do for you guys again, the q and a podcast that we dropped last Saturday was a hit. Apparently, a lot of people liked it. So we're going to do that each week. I wanna reiterate that, and, I'm going to be putting it up on my, story today with a link that you can click on and you can add,
20:46Speaker 0questions. And again, I wanna be redundant on this point. Will and I love to talk about this stuff. Ask any questions. If we don't know, we'll just tell you we don't know.
20:56Speaker 0If it's anything about testosterone replacement
20:59Speaker 0or this or that, we've just been in this arena for a very long time. We love it. And, so no question is dumb and no question is outside of what you can ask. Best way to say that.
21:09Speaker 1True. Sound good? True. Right. Everybody's in different different,
21:12Speaker 1phases. It's all good. Were there once
21:16Speaker 0right? Will, you love, you've been into helping people for a very long time and he talks a lot about peptides. You guys see on my channel, you don't see what Will, but brain's big, man. He knows a lot about macros and diets and exercises.
21:30Speaker 0So ask some questions, man. There's a lot. Bring it.
21:34Speaker 0So we will be dropping that. We will be recording on Friday. We will be dropping it on Saturday,
21:40Speaker 0and I will be putting it up on my social medias with the link today.
21:44Speaker 0We are super appreciative that people are enjoying it.
21:47Speaker 1And, man, I guess that's all. Anything else from you? I guess the key takeaways is like Thymosin Alpha, reduce inflammation
21:55Speaker 0and help
21:57Speaker 1immune system, help regulate your immune system. I know, I think every single girl I've ever met is always complains about inflammation.
22:05Speaker 1So if you're a girl,
22:08Speaker 1it's a good idea to
22:10Speaker 1this and it will help your inflammation. Yeah,
22:13Speaker 0and study it, man. Hope I hope this
22:16Speaker 0has triggered somebody new that's never even heard of thymosin alpha to research it. And once you start reading about it, watch. You're gonna be blown away. It's amazing. And then what do do? Try it. If you feel like that's gonna make the most sense for you, then give it a shot. Yep. And it is different from this is not
22:34Speaker 1TB-five hundred, which is also which is Thymosin beta 4. Yeah.
22:38Speaker 1Well, there actually is a difference between
