1:11Speaker 0sitting right next to me with a little bit of a different, different flare on the podcast today is my cohost and buddy, Mr. William T. We're
1:20Speaker 0here on the same side of the table. That the same side? Yeah, we're on the same side. And we have our, TV right here. The camera's right here. Just so you guys get a little visual of how all this stuff works because we didn't tell we started doing this. We can see ourselves here. It's hard not to look at ourselves, but we're supposed to look there. Now you get a little bit of our world. It's not, it wasn't intentional. So we're going to tell you a little bit about our world. That is the point of this podcast. We have a lot of people ask us about
1:46Speaker 0kind of how things started a little bit, like when, you know, your face is out on the internet a lot and people listen to podcasts,
1:52Speaker 0we get intrigued and they like to know kind of what's behind the curtains and kind of how probably this podcast led to this podcast because it was just by accident to a degree. It was not
2:06Speaker 0we kind of stumbled onto something awesome. And so we wanted to tell you a little bit about ourselves,
2:12Speaker 0which led to some different companies that are doing pretty well and, just some cool stuff. So that's what we are doing today. Now you will be listening to this when I am probably on an airplane back from Prague.
2:43Speaker 0But we wanted to record this before we left so that he has some fresh time to kind of spend with his hopefully new
2:52Speaker 0Cause we're still going to have to do a couple of Q and A's when you're there. We're there. And,
2:57Speaker 0so we're going to do our best to give you some good stuff, but we, and we wanted to start off and just tell a little bit about
3:01Speaker 0us, how this happened, because it's a pretty darn cool story and a lot of people ask. So it's a little going to be different. We're not going to break down any compounds
3:10Speaker 2or talk about anything in particular except for how this podcast happened. Yeah, no doubt. And if I ever like roll, if I, it looks like I'm rolling my eyes
3:33Speaker 0Will doesn't like being on camera. Doesn't doesn't like it. He's just not his thing. He is very good at running our companies and the back end and like making this podcast room look amazing.
3:43Speaker 0We were joking yesterday because we had a company meeting and we were laughing about how
3:53Speaker 0And I was just talking to Will about how amazing the warehouse looks and how awesome it looks. And he said, if JD was running it and that was up to him, it would be in a cardboard box. Would all consider you guys would all be sitting on the ground. And yes,
4:12Speaker 2how we're gonna We're moving the people people around and then build some walls. But I like to plan stuff out. And so this this room, like, had no idea what the hell I was doing on the podcast. I did a lot of research and
4:24Speaker 2a lot of AI help to research and figured out, like, degrees of camera angles and where they ought to be
4:32Speaker 2if people are sitting across from each other and schematically did it. And then I'm pretty handy. Like, I can build most everything.
4:45Speaker 2And then it went from there. I had Brandy help me a lot. The also the funny thing is this entire time of designing this entire room,
4:52Speaker 2I because I don't ever watch podcasts and I don't I don't I'm not media. Not on social media. I didn't know. I figured that we would be sitting next to each other. And so the whole thing is designed for us to sit over there next to each other.
5:06Speaker 2Then once it's all designed, everybody's like, alright, cool. And we sit across like, well, that like totally ruins
5:12Speaker 0design of everything. I had planned. He was looking at tables because he was, he was like researching like podcasts and tables. So the difference in our personality is pretty funny. If you haven't picked up by now, if you're new here, you'll get it. So I don't really give a shit. That table looks good. Okay, cool. That works. And that's just my personality. Let's sit down and talk where Will likes it.
5:35Speaker 0likes it. He wants to research it and he needs to look right and he needs to feel right. And that's why we're so radically different. That's why it's like
5:43Speaker 0attract, so to speak, but you know what I mean? Like, that's why we're very different and we do very different things in the business and they work well. And then we sit down on a podcast
5:52Speaker 0and we bring a different spin, I think. Yeah. Yeah. You're the smart 1. I'm the just face
5:57Speaker 01, like where I'm on the face. I'm so used to cameras where- Can I tell a story about when we went to Vegas? And he said that, can I say that? Yeah, go ahead. Yeah. So I always say to Will because we have so much going on. I call it getting current because we run multiple businesses and it's chaos and we have multiple employees and whatnot.
6:13Speaker 0So I say, let's get current, bro. Let's fly up to Vegas. So there's no distractions and let's sit down and talk about the businesses and like where we want to go, make sure we stay on the same
6:31Speaker 0And instead of getting right into the jugular, I was really curious because now we're employed to the degree where we don't have to both work 18 hour days and like 7 days a week and like all these different jobs.
6:45Speaker 0do what we would do best. And so I said, well, you know, what exactly do you love? Like if you can choose what you do each day, what would you love to do? And you were saying,
7:06Speaker 0The 1st thing was to get like, do the more research, have time for research because you've done that forever and you haven't had a lot of time with that. And then
7:14Speaker 0about 60% of the time, then you get like your brain hurts. So you would like to put that on hold for a 2nd and then like make
7:25Speaker 0constantly betters it over and over. I'll see him at 11:00 at night with the video cameras and Will's in 1 of his zones.
7:32Speaker 0You know what mean? And like, that's why, but so then until he answered that question, then I said, what was the 2nd thing? I don't remember what you said.
7:39Speaker 0Well, you basically, you said, what's your least favorite? Yeah. So then you, then I said, well, what's your least favorite? And like, without hesitation, he said Podcast. And I was like, woah, I knew, you know, because he doesn't like to be on camera or it's not his thing, but I wasn't expecting it to be. You kinda like step back a little bit from the- No, no, I absolutely did. So like, I don't here's the thing is that I'm so busy that,
8:02Speaker 2being doing recording the podcast is such yes. It is a it's a time consumer Yeah. When I have so many things, which is why we can never do this in the afternoon because I will not be able to focus on this podcast because I'll just be thinking about all the shit that I need to be doing and it's past time is passing me by and then it won't be good. So we gotta do this 1st before
8:24Speaker 0I get into the mix. But mostly I don't dislike this. What I dislike is that it It came out quickly, so I was like, woah. But, like, you don't dislike it. It's No. I don't like It just takes a lot of time. Because you run the back end of the business. Yeah. There's just a lot of Shit. Yeah. Yes. Time consuming I just sit on my camera and, like, post shit, like, do videos and, like, I got a videographer and, like, we go to the gym and lift the shit. And I was, like Yeah. Pulling everything. The computers and shit. But I don't even but and that's okay, though. The funny thing is, like, I like that. I would rather do that. Yeah. Because so then so then he said that, and and he goes, well, what's your favorite thing I said? Podcast.
9:03Speaker 0talking to 1 of my good friends like we've done forever, you know? And, also sitting down with guests
9:08Speaker 0because like everybody has a story and everybody, like I love sitting down with people that are a hell of a lot more intelligent than me and picking their brains about supplements,
9:18Speaker 0diet, nutrition, gut health. Gosh, I could do it forever. It's so interesting to sit in. I mean, what a freaking blessing. We have a podcast that just
9:28Speaker 0we happened. We didn't plan it. That's doing extremely well. And now we get to sit down with really big names,
9:46Speaker 2I've always lived a life going, being a little bit stubborn and not wanting to ask for help with anything, you know, like most of us. Right? But,
9:55Speaker 2and always been like, no, if I'm going make it, I'm going to make it on my own, on my own merit and everything. And that's, that is a complete lie because
10:03Speaker 2even if you think you make anything on your own merit, like you have so many damn people help you along the way. But
10:12Speaker 0has been incredibly helpful over and and over. That's what's made most things. It's been cool because some of the people we used to like talk about and like, you know, listen to some of the stuff they put out, we have sat down with them now and interviewed them and it's just, man, what a blessing. You don't even see you kind of cross that line. Just kind of happens. Yeah. Because we were, as we were putting the companies together, we were just running at Mach 90,
10:34Speaker 0trying to catch up with everything that was kind of happening because all this rad stuff was flowing. So we were running so fast. I don't even think we were able to even catch up and be like, this is freaking awesome. Yeah. Never. But,
10:46Speaker 0but let's start, let's talk a little bit about kind of the beginning of how it kind of started, because it kind of started
10:54Speaker 0If, you know, if you've been following the podcast or at least mind, you'll know some of the story of my personal story, which I'm pretty open about my life. Am very vulnerable
11:03Speaker 0to the world and, you know, some people like that, some people don't, but it's mine, so whatever. But when I married my bride, which I didn't want to get married, I got, we got both sober.
11:36Speaker 0So when I met my, my, the woman who, which would be my bride, I let her know we're not, I'm not getting married.
11:42Speaker 0So sign right here and let's notarize it. And we hold on to that forever, but I'll date you forever because I would, you know, But anyways, my wife is a blessing. She's a gem. She is just the kindest human ever. And she was patient. She waited. And finally we got married.
11:59Speaker 0however, left turn, she relapsed 6 months after we got married. And, we went through a really, really rough time now.
12:07Speaker 0Long story short, due to a good friend who was also an Alcoholics Anonymous spared me from,
12:13Speaker 0making a very bad decision when I was angry at my wife and almost cheating on her. I got a call, was about to cheat on my wife 1 night because I was angry and I was thinking of myself and poor me and F my wife. She can't believe she did this to me. And I was gonna Ronde would do this gal. And I got a call from Guy NAA and Alcoholics Anonymous.
12:35Speaker 0there's a pause. He said, yeah, JD, you could do that. He said, or, you know, what you could do is, you could be the man I've watched you grow into, which is a man of integrity and a man of character.
12:51Speaker 0And man, I was smacked in the face by that because all my other friends were like, F her. And like, I was starting to like listen to them.
12:59Speaker 0And I was like, wow, just dumbfounded by that. Cause it's such an obvious, like it's my wife, you know, she needed me regardless of the point. Like he goes, let me ask you a question, JD, have you, when you were drinking and doing drugs, did you,
13:12Speaker 0did you ever, bring drugs into anybody's house when they asked you not to? I'm like, Oh man. So did you ever, you know, you're, you're mad cause she was lying and hiding drugs in the house. He's like, let me ask you a question. Did you ever
13:23Speaker 0lie and hide drugs in the house of anybody that let you stay in the house? I get it. Yeah. I'm gonna not keep
13:40Speaker 0live with integrity because if we don't, we relapse or like, that's what we've seen in numerous, numerous people. So we're not so integral because we're so integral. We're so integral because we will probably relapse if we're not, you know? And so here's the story where I met Will and, that relapse of my wife. Now from that time on, I was supporting my bride and, you know, she was in rehab. She did a 90 day stint. Then when she got out, she was on fire and she was a totally different person. They got her off all the medications that the last rehab had put her on and she was totally sober.
14:15Speaker 0Our relationship is amazing now, but I started, she started going to a Monday night meeting, was a secretary and running that meeting. So to support her, I started going to that meeting
14:25Speaker 0and, fell in love with it to this day. It's probably 1 of my favorite meetings, just rad people,
14:34Speaker 0came from that meeting that I met and that's where I met Will at that meeting. If my wife did not relapse and have that,
14:44Speaker 0I might not have pro I probably wouldn't even have met you. It was a different, it just put us onto that trajectory. And like, it's funny if like you're going through some shit,
14:52Speaker 2you know, and you believe in God or higher power, like let it kind of unfold. Cause a lot of times those hard times lead to something rad. Yeah. When 1 door closes, another 1 opens. Yeah. And, but it was a little slightly different. So like, I think I met you. Yes, it was because of that meeting, but that's where you had met my sponsor, my sponsor and I too. So
15:25Speaker 2Well, I got out of I was was sober for maybe like 8 months or so. Had a sponsor, was doing doing things okay.
15:33Speaker 2Made a bad decision to, like, move away, move out of sober living in life 45 minutes away, you know, with traffic.
15:45Speaker 2but I've gotten better since. So anyway, 1 month goes by, I start drinking and then I say and opiates are usually my thing. Like, it would always devolve. It would start with drinking and then go to opiates and then heroin
16:09Speaker 2I was training people. I had a brand new truck. I had my dog that I loved in my back of my truck, but I went to go buy some some opiates and dude jumps in the car. He's like, here, do you want some of the raw materials? And as I should have known that it was fentanyl,
16:34Speaker 2not injecting or anything like that. Next thing I know, I literally, literally so I did took that hit.
16:49Speaker 2head on and I'm surrounded by ambulance and police. Said, Hey, wake up. You just, you just had an overdose. And
16:58Speaker 2so I, I, it like basically I pushed too bad. I have a push to start if I didn't actually good thing. Have a push to start. Cause if I had that keys, I wouldn't have made it in there and I would've just, the car would've been stopped and I would've slowly fell out and just died with my dog eating me in a week. Right? But luckily I could start the truck and I guess I was conscious, but I don't remember it. Yeah. U-turned and then really fell out and flipped the gas. What? Bam. So,
17:31Speaker 2made me not want to do it again. But also it's like that event, I had been, I had been very unhappy with myself for quite
17:38Speaker 2a number of years before that. Right? So like that, that event was not like, oh shoot. I mean, alcoholic, I should stop. That was the final culmination of things. So anyway,
17:48Speaker 2out of jail, called the sponsor, was going to 2 meetings a day. And then he said, Hey, me and me and my new sponsor,
17:58Speaker 2Whereas just kind of a sponsorship line group, and we just talk about the books and talk about real
18:07Speaker 2that was when Chad brought me to your house, and that's when I met you. I think I had said hi to you before. Yeah, yeah,
18:17Speaker 0he's a big guy, so it's hard to like not notice. Will, he always had his dog with him.
18:26Speaker 0asked me to sponsor him. He had 3 years and I was like, wow, I've never sponsored somebody that had 3 years already. But, anyways, he and I sat down at my house at my kitchen table. It was a Wednesday at 06:00
18:38Speaker 0started reading the book and we just hit it off because we loved Alcoholics Anonymous. I mean, we would have these amazing
18:55Speaker 0Wednesday at 06:00 and let's read this book cover to cover. So I said, let's read it, let's talk about it, let's just, and that's how it started. That was like the very beginning of,
19:07Speaker 0soon after he's okay, now he calls me, can I bring, you know, 1 of my sponsees that was Will, then it was me,
19:13Speaker 0Will and Chad sitting at the house and we were sitting there and then it would be another guy chat about another guy, then another guy? And there's 5 guys in my living room, then
19:44Speaker 0And we would try, try to read the book. We'd get like a page in, then just all these rad
19:50Speaker 0would stem from that. About 30 guys were sitting in my living room because alcoholics anonymous was shut down. Everything was shut down. And then my wife got pregnant and she didn't want a bunch of people in my house, as you can imagine. And I kind got sick of it too. So we moved it to a church,
20:12Speaker 0sitting down with a sponsor to another guy, then another guy. And then it just turned into a meeting 70
20:24Speaker 0Now after a lot of the meetings, 1 of the things where Will and I, our friendship started to blossom was, we're both into fitness and health and,
20:32Speaker 0we've ran different, different types of supplements for a long time. And we'd always talk about it. Hey man, what about this? Have you tried this? And we'll, we'll, always have it. He always had a small little supplement thing that he was doing.
20:45Speaker 0But we would talk about them too, like, and we would like, what if you tried this and this? And a lot of the times when we would talk about certain guys that he liked, I'm like, I watched that guy too. And like, it just was such a connection. And we'd sit there after the meeting and talk forever.
21:06Speaker 0And this space starts with Ultra Fit. Unlike traditional running shoes, Ultra Fit gives toes more room to move naturally,
21:31Speaker 1That 1st bite of your favorite sub, followed by ice cold Pepsi. Add a couple of friends, and now that's next level. Suddenly, the laughs get louder, the stories keep flowing, and the food tastes better because Pepsi brings out more flavor, more fun, and more of the moment. Food deserves Pepsi. Grab a Pepsi 0 Sugar today.
22:03Speaker 0All of our friends kind of came from that meeting. Was good, solid dudes that were really chasing sobriety. They were really like living that life of, you know, doing what they needed to do. Like, it just was a strong group. Yeah. Fitness works into that really well because like,
22:17Speaker 2if you're getting sober and now you have all this angst and energy, right? And you're a male, like, what do you want to do? Well, lift weights. Yeah. That helps.
22:30Speaker 2Like, there's really nothing in this world besides drugs, alcohol, sex, driving fast, right? Those are really instant gratifications.
22:48Speaker 2so fast if you just do it right. You eat right and and work out. We also, during COVID,
22:54Speaker 2me and a girlfriend at that time started a, like, a bootcamp company. Right? And doing
23:05Speaker 2you would come and Alyssa and then a whole bunch of friends that really kept a big group together during COVID.
23:12Speaker 2And that was that big old box with all that shit in it, bro. You remember how heavy that was? And then I said, hell with it. You know what? I'm gonna buy a big chain and we're gonna chain it to a tree out here and make it look like the city box. Right? And then we thought I thought I was really sly. And then finally the city people, the sheriffs came and said, look, we know the boxes have been there. We're like, you know you guys are here, but we're about to start some other, like, activities. So you guys gotta go.
23:39Speaker 0Then the plan It's funny. I could see your personality. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you well.
23:47Speaker 0you guys started that. And then, when it really like kind of started to take off, I think we're, you know, now we're like good friends and we've been friends for probably years.
23:56Speaker 0COVID hits, COVID goes for years. Right. And, as mortgages were doing well and then they started to slow down and I started to get into the fitness,
24:07Speaker 0we were trying to do stuff like I would keep going, Hey man, let's do this video and like, let's go, let's go downtown.
24:17Speaker 0like, we'll talk to people like they come up to us back, like tell us about health. Like what's a good healthy diet? And it was like, absolutely not.
24:28Speaker 0Like people will love it. And then like, and then like, I'm like, okay, well, it wasn't not going to do that. Then I just started
24:34Speaker 0doing my own thing. Then I started my fitness channel, but I did start to, like, I wanted to interview him because he's freaking smart as hell and he's into the same stuff. So I did an interview
24:56Speaker 0And we talked about it for probably like 15 minutes. Was interviewing him, but like, that was real, the real start
25:05Speaker 0I mean, well before it had been nourished and what it became, but we started there. The 2nd 1 was we were out in my backyard. We were talking about some different compounds and
25:19Speaker 0And then my channel started to grow really well. My fitness channel took off and like, it just started to evolve and, and do really well. Now, when that was growing, I was selling a carnivore diet plan because that's what I'm, that's my diet.
25:33Speaker 0My, the people would ask me, well, what type of supplements do you take? Because everyone wants to take what you're taking. And then what, you know, can you help me get them? Well, I would get my supplements from Will. And so basically we said,
25:45Speaker 0Hey man, so why don't you, if, why don't I talk to him about it? Like, why don't you give me this at a price? I'll put a margin on it, sell them to my people. And then that's how it started. We just started
25:59Speaker 2the Mar the price that I'm giving you is not enough because now I need to hire somebody and there's packaging expenses and all this stuff, and so I need to raise my prices. And then
26:10Speaker 0we just say, you know what? They're like- respect with that. Yeah. Not the only brother. You were always really good. I don't
26:17Speaker 0didn't know you were I don't know how much money. All I did, knowing about, like, what you got things for was
26:23Speaker 0just like a typical, like, wholesale retail, I just doubled. You just doubled. Even I was giving you clue if it was good or bad. Right. That's all I knew. Yeah. And then, but, yeah, he came. He's like, hey, man. I'm not making enough money. We're selling a lot. I'm like, yeah. Alright. Let's renegotiate.
26:36Speaker 2And then we did we said, okay. You know what? Shit. You wanna just do this together? And the good thing is is we we are both not greedy. It also helps coming from
26:47Speaker 2because you're pretty damn grateful for everything that you have or get. And so we're like I mean, both of us said, we're not greedy. Like, my I was always raised my uncle, who's pretty successful, is always like, alright. You just gotta work hard to get 51% of every company. I didn't even know. I thought that that had to be. Somebody had to be a majority owner.
27:08Speaker 2But I said, I don't really want to do that. I don't wanna fight with you over a percent. I don't wanna fight with you about anything. Like, that's that is important to us is Yeah. Is be just generous to each other. So we said we went and met with an accountant,
27:21Speaker 2and said, can we be, like, 50 50 partners? And she said, damn, of course. Oh. 0, didn't even know that. Okay. Yeah. But and then we just said, yeah, everything is just split. Who cares? I think probably at that time that was you taking more of a hit.
27:36Speaker 2But so the but that was good. And you're like, you just rolled off your back. No big deal. So good. I'll take it. No problem. So That's important in regards to
27:46Speaker 0A lot of people will say don't do it. I think that does stand firm for a lot of people.
27:51Speaker 0If you can show respect and bend sometimes and hold steady sometimes if it's really important, I think that's where we both show that respect. Can tell certain times when I'm kind of not in agreement, but like, you're like, I can tell you're leaning towards that. I'm like, okay, cool. And vice versa, you know, that if like certain things, I'm like, no dude, trust me. I don't want to do that. And there's a respect. And I think if any, any, any
28:12Speaker 0business owners that are friends or family can just stick with that holding true to integrity. Like sometimes you gotta let go like what you want and like bend for your, your partner.
28:53Speaker 2You know what I'm saying? They go, why is my partner even How can I get him? Well, like, yeah. What what do and and if he's gone,
29:02Speaker 2If that were the case here, this whole thing would fall apart. Like, so JD does everything that he does, I cannot do and I will not do.
29:11Speaker 2Hey, Ray. Too bad. No matter what. Vice versa. I can't vice versa. It was like solidified by that conversation. What do you love? What do I love? And they're total opposites. Mhmm. And both are necessary components and we cannot do I can't do what you do. You can't do what I do. We need each other. And
29:28Speaker 2that There's is that respect. And there's respect and and also trust. Like, I know that you're good at what you do and I don't need to know. I don't need to be up in your business and micromanagement. Lot of times we don't even know what the hell is doing. Like dude, I just trust you. But trust you, so cool. Just do it. And same and vice versa. It's,
29:46Speaker 0the opposites attract again, so to speak is such a good way to say it because we are just so radically different and it works so well.
29:57Speaker 0when we started the company, we started, I think 2025 in January, right around that. And it became an actual company and we were fiftyfifty. And like, I think by March
30:08Speaker 0we moved out of the garage, which we started in the garage. Like a lot of companies got our 1st place in Huntington Beach, small little dinky little office, just type of office,
30:22Speaker 0Vegas to go to this conference to see if we were going to want to branch out and do some wholesale stuff. And we were walking around
30:37Speaker 0and let's just talk about it. And he's like, dude, I'm like, let's do a 10 minute bro. So we're like in the wind and
30:44Speaker 0my video camera's there. I think we had the video, the mic still, but like the lighting sucked because we were going out into the outside, which was light sucked,
30:53Speaker 0but it was still a good video. Like, that was the 1st 1 we dropped that. We got back, I kept saying, come on bro, this is going to help us sell products. So let's
31:01Speaker 0do another 1. Let's be unique. Let's so sit on every time like we do 1, let's do it in a different section of Huntington Beach because we're both from Huntington Beach. And so we did the 1st 1, 2nd 1 on in Huntington, the 3rd 1, 2nd section, but people were like, dude, I can't hear you.
31:38Speaker 2women. Oh, and then like in what certain situations? So I said like, I want them, I want our talks to be structured like that.
31:46Speaker 0So I forgot about that because now I've been doing podcasts for a long time and I've had some people that want to know exactly what we're going to talk about. And like, Brandi's going to laugh at this because like, I don't think about it till I sit down. I just, I love talking to people and like, I can like really like get
32:07Speaker 2Even she's like, no, I need to know like 7 days at a bounce, like what's the topic? I'm like, why? Nevermind. Yeah. Luckily, I just wanted to get at least so we didn't miss anything during the thing. Like the good thing is we could,
32:23Speaker 0I'm like, let's just sit down and figure it out. And he's like, we're not doing anything unless it's going to be quality. And I love that about him. And it's really why some of the stuff we do is, has the quality that it has. It's this guy right here because
32:42Speaker 0that's 1 of the rad things about it. Like me not seeing how important that was until now. I love that. It's just his foresight on a lot of things that he had put into place
32:54Speaker 0literally was some of the reason why the company just, just did well. I don't even know if you meant to like certain websites and stuff, but it was just amazing
33:03Speaker 2we definitely lucked out, definitely lucked out on making some, some right decisions early on. Yeah. Make some bumps and bruises and hits,
33:12Speaker 0but it's just that cohesiveness that like, and then when we'd sit down and do the podcast now,
33:29Speaker 0it's not normal because it's weird to see you. Like we can see ourselves right there, which is weird. Right? But Will would be like looking at himself as he's talking, he'd look now Will, I know him, so I don't get disrespected by this anyway. I've known him for a long time. When he
33:44Speaker 0would look at himself and I would be talking, he rolls his eyes kind of at himself because he doesn't like how he looks.
33:52Speaker 0When I'm talking, sat, it looked like he was rolling his eyes at me like he didn't agree with. And I'd be like, bro, you gotta stop doing that because I didn't, I wasn't offended. I was like, no, I get, I know why you're doing that. But like, you know I mean? Absolutely. I
34:04Speaker 2also, all of sudden my friends call me like, can you like not be writing emails while you're doing it? It looks like you're working the whole time. Look at himself.
34:12Speaker 2Because maybe I was, I don't know. But like on the computer, right? Like answering emails. I don't think I was. It just made it look like it because I wasn't, I maybe a little bit frenetic.
34:23Speaker 0was call. I don't think we made it a podcast yet. We were just doing that because we were trying to talk about different supplements. And then, I finally, because Mario, who now,
34:38Speaker 0I said, Hey man, can we make this into a podcast? He said, I can do it easy. And I'm like, let's make this into a podcast. And like, it just, it just happened.
34:52Speaker 0viewers a month. Yep, not at all. And then we, we sat down and started talking and it was now it's a podcast and apparently people liked it and they were listening and like, dude, like if you look to the old stuff, oh my gosh, dude, it was like 2 guys, you had a white background. I was in my other house, my home office. We were talking and people seemed to love it for whatever reason. And it kept growing. And then all of a sudden we had hit like a 100,000 viewers
35:16Speaker 0and neither of us knew even knew what that meant. Like we were like, Oh, is that good? Mario was like, dude, are you kidding me? That's like, it doesn't happen for podcasts. Most fall like falter dude. Like you guys are like, and then we're like doing the research. I'm like, Oh shit. Like that's like the top 1% of podcasts, which what? And then now it just has keep it. So then we finally grew and kept in hearing like, like, let's make this legit. Yep. And then we decided, and then I think it really did like it really,
35:43Speaker 2yes, it, it upped our game. Like we, we upped our game and ensure up the viewership and made it a lot easier for people to see. Yeah. Watch and want to watch. Yeah. Let me try and we're going to continue to do that 1 because now
35:55Speaker 0I have kind of adopted that to not as much as you, but adopted the fact that if we're going to do it, it needs to be done well. Another thing that I love about just our partnership and friendship
36:10Speaker 0think about the company, this was before, I think we had 1 employee at the time. We were kind of talking about this and we said, listen, like, you know, if this does well, we would like to like pay them over what they generally would make in the market. We would like to like help. Yeah. If there's any employee that's ever going to need help, we're going to help them.
36:26Speaker 0And we both carried that same thing. We've, it's been a blessing because we've been able to at times, and it's like, we both shared that. Absolutely. We definitely did. And we definitely,
36:40Speaker 2You will, he'll send me some tickets. He does the social media, so he gets all the outreach, right? He's the face. So he'll send me every once in a while, a text, like a screenshot from,
36:50Speaker 2from somebody who it's like somebody, a friend of somebody who said like, Hey, I have this family
37:04Speaker 2And the answer is always say, of course, right away. Yeah. So that's good. Like you guys don't see that, but that, yes, that happens all the time. Of course, shit. Yes. Yeah. It
37:16Speaker 2everything only works if you just, if you give it away, it'd be great to go about it. Know? You know, keep that mutual respect like we talked about. Now it's like,
37:31Speaker 0So I'm the social media guy and I'm always thinking about how do I make it better? How do I make it better? How do I make it better? And with
37:42Speaker 0kind of flag you for this. I mean, I've got flagged for fasting posts where they ding my account and like we've had to navigate around certain things just because of that stuff.
37:58Speaker 2and now we have, what do we have? 14? I always say 14. I right? I think I think we have maybe have a couple more, but whatever 15, 15,
38:18Speaker 0being with my family and sometimes having a hard time putting down my brain and not kind of wanting to be here. And it's not because I not, I don't want to be with my family is because I care about the fact that like we have these employees and I have a hard time setting my
38:35Speaker 0brain off. Do you have that same thing? Like when you go on vacation with your girl, are you going to have a hard time shutting Well, of course. Yes. Yes, definitely. But it also helps that when I do that, when I do go on vacation, you all say, Hey,
38:48Speaker 2we got it. Yeah. So don't hire the right people. That's yeah. Hiring the right people. That's, that's just somebody
39:04Speaker 2So the goal has been to not, the goal is to do, you know, build something. We're still working at it. Right. But we're getting, but I can leave for 2 weeks comfortably.
39:32Speaker 2really cool, but it also, a great motivation to stay sober. People ask me, you know, I don't go to 5 meetings anymore a week. Right? And I, and I've, I still,
39:45Speaker 2and not to say anybody who's new out there, you should you should don't slack on the program portion. But
39:57Speaker 0Because of all these people who depend on me. Yeah. You know? Huge. Yeah. And you and it would all just be really bad, but I care about them a lot. Yeah. I want to keep that going. Both of us didn't come into this totally green. Like, you know, I was the branch manager of a mortgage company for years and Will has
40:17Speaker 2when I started, I started a company when I was 21. Oh yeah. Double majored in business and criminal justice, by the way. And I started a company,
40:29Speaker 2started an internship, like, 4 days later, did that for 3 months, completed that, and then they offered me a job. And I said, you know what? I wanna make more money and try to do something my own. But my internship was as a probation officer
40:41Speaker 2and also in the house arrest division of that city. So I went out and then started my own, like, house arrest company.
40:58Speaker 2selling it and do doing well. That's- Shooting all your profit. Yes. So the problem is-
41:04Speaker 2It wasn't sober yet. It worked, but I wasn't sober yet. Then this, once I had some money in my pocket and
41:13Speaker 2with any defense against my condition, started burning it down, but ended up selling it.
41:24Speaker 2right? Staying at you when things are boring. Right? That's not what I do well at. But
41:30Speaker 2so I had some, I sure learned what not to do and learn what some of what to do, but I had some experience and I had some like, look, if I set my mind to something, I can do it. I can't be scared. I'm not scared of that. Yeah.
41:42Speaker 2Also what people don't realize is like, yeah, we started this podcast, but people always ask, oh, what should I do for a career? That's
41:57Speaker 0to feel better, to do something you never thought possible. And this space starts with Ultra Fit. Unlike traditional running shoes, Ultra Fit gives toes more room to move naturally,

42:46Speaker 2Yeah. I'm just gonna you know what? I'm gonna do this for a career. So right now, I'm a start here. It's hard to stay on that path. Right? Yeah. You figure out you're good at something
42:53Speaker 2only after you're really good at it. And you've, I just looked back and went, I guess the last 10 years of my life I've been dedicated to supplements.
43:01Speaker 2Yeah. That's an odd coincidence. Didn't really mean to do that. It's just how it happened. But only after those 10 years of- You're a student of your craft always.
43:09Speaker 0Always. You're you're really good at. You he will study and study and study and, like, be as, like, a whiz at what he's doing. Yeah. Yes. And the knowledge is out there.
43:47Speaker 0shit to the floor spread to 5 and then so on. And I learned that really quickly that I needed to cut that sucker off when I saw it, if that talks it. And,
44:02Speaker 0return ratio, which is unheard of. And the reason I think that that that's the case is because we spend, we do hire the right people.
44:16Speaker 0Like they're just good hearted there. They have a heart to serve. They're not in it for themselves.
44:29Speaker 0And that's rare. Yeah. Is rare. And that is very true. Rare. And those who have not been like that are not here any longer. You get some bad apples that look like they're nice and red and they look good. And then you're like, dude, that sucker was sour. Yep, yep, yep.
44:46Speaker 2It's also yeah, we, and we took the stance of customer I don't know. I've worked for companies, I've been parts of companies where, like,
44:53Speaker 2they've just said they've treated customers poorly just based on, oh, well, that's what the, that's what it says right here. So sorry, I'm not helping you. Right? And I just said, look, as long as we can we just treat everybody with, common sense and common decency? Yep. You know? So we do that. We are extremely good to all of the customers. Yeah. At a massive detriment But to that's fine. Don't care. It's important. Nobody's gonna say that like we're
45:18Speaker 0we're assholes. And if they do, then they probably call everybody an asshole. I got a question for you. So I ask this a lot on my personal podcast. I'm really intrigued by it. You are a guy that started your own company,
45:36Speaker 0are born or do you believe somebody can be cultivated and grow into that? I think it's a mix of both. There I don't have, this is
45:45Speaker 2We have asked this. You've asked me this and I already know, but I still don't, I've, I've, I've thought on both sides of this, but like
45:58Speaker 2Sorry, some people are born a little bit more scared. It takes it takes balls to be an entrepreneur.
46:06Speaker 2Jumping into the unknown. Yeah. And the confidence to know that you could survive, like that you can stack up against the world. And so it takes some talent. Like in sorry, a lot of that's God given.
46:17Speaker 2But then but but it can be but you can also be learned. Like, look at all these people who these people,
46:26Speaker 2If you probably look at the rates of them being entrepreneurs, my guess would be a little bit higher. But if you were raised with a good family, I see it in my own family. My aunt and uncle
46:49Speaker 2Can't, and this is just what you do. Right? People who's born poor, nothing when their parents say,
46:54Speaker 2yeah, you're you'll never you're never gonna amount to anything. You probably shouldn't graduate high school. Like, they're not gonna graduate high school. Yeah. And they're probably not gonna be successful. But then again, you have somebody in the ghetto, the worst of the worst, right? Comes from nothing. Then everybody's told him that he sucks
47:09Speaker 2and he's just risen. So watch me sucker. Yeah. It's a mindset. It's a mindset. It's a mindset, but it also, this is the nature nurture argument. Know I'm saying? And I just think that there's no,
47:21Speaker 0there has to be a, it's a, got a little bit of a head start with the fact that you're born in an entrepreneur family, but like the dude that's born in Condon doesn't have anything.
47:29Speaker 0He can rise above it and his mindset. Watch me. I can do it. He can do anything. I think, I think that, I think that we are worth anything that we want, but, we are blinded by
47:59Speaker 0heard this too. Be nice. Well, it is nice. But what also was must be nice, you should say is the 17 hour workdays that we were doing in the very beginning,
48:09Speaker 0like, you know, like here every Saturday and Sunday and stuff too, because it was a lot of work, but then
48:16Speaker 2you don't have to work every Saturday and Sunday because you've, yeah. But to work in it, then it must be nice for you to go to the beach and do not work hard. Yeah.
48:31Speaker 2always a whole bunch of hard work that no 1 ever sees. Right? You don't see the late nights and and constant
48:44Speaker 0Nobody ever sees that stuff. I think it's important to know who you are, what I've learned in business and just, you know, like the things that we've done. And,
48:52Speaker 0it's so important to just really know who you are because if you can articulate who you are and you're, you're better
49:15Speaker 0time why we've done well, I think even with this podcast and some of the businesses is because
49:24Speaker 2our morals, and that stuff is non negotiable and that attracts the same type of people. Absolutely. Talk to any marketing company. The 1st thing they ask you is like, tell us what your story is. Tell us what your principles are, what you stand behind. Right? There's a reason. Tell us, tell us a story. Right? Yeah. We have,
49:48Speaker 0Most of are covered in tattoos and a lot of us are sober, but we all got that personality. I agree, man. So, that was a
49:55Speaker 0little bit different. Will has to get on out because he's going to spend some time with his family before he leaves for Prague.
50:02Speaker 0But we wanted to do that a little bit different. Hope you guys liked it. If you didn't, you can not listen. I mean, and watch next week because we'll continue to put out,
50:17Speaker 0on in the beginning more. We really to solidify this recently is everything that we do, we're gonna, it's gonna be a premium. We're gonna do our best to make it better and better and better and better. And that's what you're going to get with anything that Will and I do in our family do together. So that's pretty cool. You want to take us on home? Anything you got? Here's 1 last thought, as you were saying, last thing, you know, in
50:43Speaker 2well, my sponsor and most people's sponsors gave you an extra, gave me an exercise like,
51:02Speaker 2But yeah. Because then you fail immediately. But the point is then, okay, all of those things now,
51:10Speaker 2Boom. And like you said, right, if you don't know who you are, you don't know who you stand for, how the hell are you gonna find or attract anybody or anything to you? And so the 1st thing is, is that is get your own house in order and your own priorities and get yourself
51:25Speaker 0absolutely good with what of you, with you. There's that just puts something on my head that was cool about the story that I have about him. So there was a, I don't remember the exact situation, but so I'll keep it kind of vague, but like there was somebody that we overpaid or something like that. He sat down to my office and we talked about it.
51:54Speaker 0said without flinch and he said, without flinch, I already did. And I'm like, that's a freaking love you bro. Yeah. Because we weren't, we're not going to bid on our integrity for money. It was a mistake of us. Like we, we kind of said, Hey, I think you guys made a mistake
52:14Speaker 2And here is why, and I don't really care who's right or wrong, but I don't, but I wanna be honest and so we can actually just get to the bottom of this. Boom. That's it.
52:21Speaker 2That's the only important thing that matters. Shit. Yeah. So, so absolutely saying like admitting when, when, when you are wrong is a great attribute to have in a relationship. Was just talking to my girlfriend last night about that. Know, it's so annoying to talk to somebody who can't,
52:37Speaker 0wrong. Oh my God. Yeah. Oh, you know it all. Okay, cool. Right. Well, there's a lot of people in our, our industry that like seem to think that they do. And I always tell people, listen, if you have, if you're dealing with somebody that tells you, they know,
52:48Speaker 0find somebody else because they don't know, they think, you know, like there's no definitive
52:56Speaker 0There's a lot of things that move, but, cool man. Well, I'm excited. That was fun. Well, we took many more minutes than I expected, but, it's a cool story.
53:05Speaker 0That's our story and there's a lot of people that want to know and I hope that you guys enjoyed it.
53:13Speaker 0since day 1 and has directed Will and I's path. I mean, we could go through 10 to 20 different things where we're like, should we do this? And then boom, it's a sign that said, you know, feel this way. We're like, woah, that was weird. Happens all the time. So,
53:27Speaker 0I always say there was a bigger picture out there foreman and, I don't know what it is yet, but like now we sit down with people that we respect and doctors and like you to learn from them.
53:38Speaker 2I was cool if you let it be, That's cool. That's cool. If you let it be. Yep. It's fun. People will be people.
53:56Speaker 0The What's other ones we got? Got, you want to be successful? Do successful people do.
54:01Speaker 0We got all kinds of 1 liners, man. Yes. Oh yes, we do. But anyway. Cool. Guys, he was, he's going to be gone on this drops.
54:51Speaker 2Like, let's have a conversation. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. For sure. My girlfriend was sitting there just enamored by it. And I hope she's would watch that. I would watch that today. But
54:59Speaker 2she's great. Yeah. I think so we would have philosophy, maybe maybe we had the it's home I mean, homeopathy
55:05Speaker 2or whatever. But when JD is referred to, he met with somebody and they asked him 4 hours about his life and like wish doctors would do it. This is who she's talking about. But her how they how she treats you is basically she gives you gives you the, it's like a kind of like a flu vaccine, but just a super micro dose. So whatever the problem might be,
55:33Speaker 0her that's, that is the basis of what her medicine is. Yeah. But the part that it was really stood out to me, because I didn't end up taking that stuff that she'd gave me and it wasn't because I didn't trust it. I'd gone a different direction, but what I love about that opened my eyes and I was really not that biggest fan of Western medicine. And, that's just my stance,
55:53Speaker 0but it really drove it home when I sat with her because like, I had no idea what to expect. She sat with me for 4 hours,
56:01Speaker 0asking me about my life and digging into who I was as a human. And I was like, Woah, she got to know me. And that's not doctors wouldn't spend 4 hours, but get to little know your clients,
56:16Speaker 0it is. But I don't know, we're thinking about having her on there. So again, the point of that is like, we will have anybody that's intriguing and they don't have to agree with us because that's not, we don't have a problem with disagreeing with anybody. If it's something that you would be interested in and we would agree, shoot us a DM on 1 of the outlets that we have and we'd be happy to look into that for you guys. Other than that, let's get Will out of here. He's got a family to get to. My phone's ringing already, yelling at me right now. Can hear it.
