0:09Speaker 0Welcome back to the Peptide of the Week Podcast.
0:12Speaker 0I'm your host, JD Denham, as always, my man, my brother,
0:16Speaker 0my friend, my cohost, William T. Haws, probably. What's up, dude? What's up, my man? Good to be here. Was funny, man. I
0:25Speaker 0was talking about this on my other podcast. I was thinking, man, and it's crazy how
0:30Speaker 0Christmas is in 2 months, dude. Christmas is in 2 months, bro. Like, it just seems like it was just January, you know? Like, I remember thinking it was January, like, with the whole year ahead of us, and it's like, dude, we are almost done with the year.
0:43Speaker 1Know. It's going fast, man. Hey, every year, the older you get to, time flies.
0:48Speaker 0I don't know if that's the case, man. Remember? Yeah. I always, like, kinda resort back to, like, high school. Do you remember 4 years in high school? I was like, dude, this takes forever, dude. Like, what the hell?
0:57Speaker 0You get out and it's like rocket ship.
0:59Speaker 1Crazy. Sometimes the minute it's like sometimes, right, the minutes are slow, the hours are slow,
1:06Speaker 1but the months and years are fast.
1:08Speaker 0Blinking is done. Right? Yeah.
1:11Speaker 1I don't know. It's probably because we
1:13Speaker 1as you get older, you just have more on your plate, dude. You just got more on your plate and you go,
1:17Speaker 1then just try to get everything done all the time. Before you know it, time is gone.
1:23Speaker 0Busy is the good thing, man. I'll take busy over slow any day. Yeah.
1:27Speaker 0Any day. Well, today is an exciting day.
1:31Speaker 0I love what we do, man. I love this. I love I geek out on this. I love talking about it. I love just digging into this stuff. I'm so intrigued by all this stuff. So today
1:40Speaker 0we're going to talk about 2 different peptides. We're going to talk about Kisspeptin,
1:44Speaker 0which is, I think everybody that's going to listen to this 1 are going to enjoy it.
1:48Speaker 0With some of the things going on in the world with men's testosterone,
1:51Speaker 0blah, blah, blah.
1:53Speaker 0It's Peptin's awesome.
1:54Speaker 0And then we're going to talk about the love drug oxytocin.
1:58Speaker 0So,
1:59Speaker 0yeah,
2:00Speaker 0these are going to be good, dude. So let's start with the Kisspeptin because
2:04Speaker 0why not?
2:07Speaker 0Not?
2:08Speaker 0Tell us, Will, and we'll dig into this because I think there's a lot going on with this peptide in general that we can discuss.
2:15Speaker 0But as always, I'll throw it to you. Tell us a little bit about what it is, what it does, why we should take it.
2:22Speaker 1So,
2:24Speaker 1I guess what people are, if we're talking about taking it, right, you're looking for Kisspeptin-54.
2:30Speaker 1Okay? It's 54 amino acids. There is a
2:34Speaker 1different form out there like Kisspeptin-ten,
2:37Speaker 1which
2:38Speaker 1is a shortened version,
2:40Speaker 1but 54 is what
2:42Speaker 1people should be looking for. It's what's naturally in our body.
2:46Speaker 1It
2:48Speaker 1so Kisspeptin
2:49Speaker 1is, I guess, in men is really
2:52Speaker 1main goal is to deal with our testosterone and reproductive
2:56Speaker 1health.
2:59Speaker 1It basically the quick sign that we got an answer to is
3:02Speaker 1it stimulates your pituitary
3:04Speaker 1gland in your brain,
3:07Speaker 1which then
3:08Speaker 1signals out down to your testes to
3:11Speaker 1increase your luteinizing hormone, which now makes
3:15Speaker 1testosterone.
3:16Speaker 0Right?
3:17Speaker 1Huge. And sperm and etc, right?
3:22Speaker 1That is how and that's the natural process. So basically, just like think of it this way, it kicks off the actual natural process. A lot of people are familiar with HCG.
3:32Speaker 1Right? Men are from doing, like, post cycles
3:36Speaker 1and
3:38Speaker 1trying to be fertile. So HCG
3:41Speaker 1just is a LH mimetic, so luteinizing hormone mimetic,
3:46Speaker 1which basically is only so it
3:49Speaker 1just does 1 thing at the very end of that cycle, okay? It just tells the luteinizing hormone, Let's go. Let's make more right now, right? Whereas Kisspeptin kind of kicks off the whole reaction naturally,
4:00Speaker 1if that makes sense.
4:03Speaker 1But
4:04Speaker 1it's cool. It's being researched for a whole lot of things and
4:08Speaker 1some of the main research findings really are helping men with feelings of desire and increased libido.
4:15Speaker 0So
4:16Speaker 1daily doses and really,
4:18Speaker 1yeah, feeling more horny, I guess, all the time.
4:21Speaker 1And your research is coming back like very, very positive.
4:25Speaker 1With people I know and who have taken it,
4:28Speaker 1it's working. I know that. You even have some experience on
4:33Speaker 1taking it
4:34Speaker 1and it working.
4:35Speaker 1Yeah. It really worked because it produces some of the side effects that you know come along with testosterone increase.
4:42Speaker 0I mean, that's interesting. Let's talk about that because there probably would be some men like me, and I've discussed it on podcasts multiple times, but if you're new to the show, I've struggled. Everybody's different.
4:52Speaker 0Are all science projects. For some guys that I know, good friends of mine, they don't ever deal with gynecomastia
4:58Speaker 0from
4:59Speaker 0day 1 of taking testosterone.
5:01Speaker 0I mean, from the 1st shot, I struggled with gynecomastia.
5:06Speaker 0Testosterone
5:06Speaker 0converts to estrogen, and I'm just that guy. I've actually even had the surgery because when I was younger, even before the internet, it wasn't so freely available.
5:16Speaker 0I was not doing things properly.
5:18Speaker 0So I got a bad case of gyno and had eventually had it cut off.
5:22Speaker 0But for you guys out there that think after you have the surgery that it can't come back, you are wrong because I'm telling you, can. Will knows because Will's known me a long time and we've discussed this umpteen times.
5:35Speaker 0I just have struggled with it. So for whatever reason, I think that I've just kind of got a good grasp on it. I hadn't struggled with it for a very long time.
5:43Speaker 0When I was reading about Kisspeptin months ago,
5:46Speaker 0I was intrigued by it. I'm like, this sounds amazing. It increases your libido.
5:50Speaker 0It naturally brings up your testosterone without your own testosterone bringing it down. It's not like you're injecting testosterone. It just sounded great. So I want to try every peptide, so I did.
6:02Speaker 0And it's funny because
6:05Speaker 0a few months ago, I was even talking to Will. I was like, Dude, I'm out of nowhere getting freaking gyno again. Like, what the hell is going on? And I hadn't put it together yet.
6:15Speaker 0And I started pulling things out of my stack and lo and behold, it was a Kisspeptin. So for me, gentlemen, just so you know,
6:24Speaker 0it can increase my testosterone to the level that it started converting to estrogen
6:28Speaker 0and I was getting gyno again.
6:31Speaker 0Just be careful.
6:32Speaker 0Just be careful. That's just 1 of the negatives, but obviously the positives are huge. Now,
6:40Speaker 0Will and I have talked about this numerous times. We don't fully understand it, but everybody's different. We're big fans of each zone. For you people that do not want to run testosterone,
6:50Speaker 0that's on you. So if you want to not run testosterone, you're over 40, whatever,
6:56Speaker 0maybe try this. This will help your body to boost
7:01Speaker 0up your own testosterone levels. I don't think you're ever going to get what you would get if you just
7:07Speaker 0testosterone, but you can try.
7:09Speaker 0This would be a way that can help. So it can help your sperm production as well. Right. So I guess back on the testosterone, it's really interesting where
7:18Speaker 1HCG will
7:21Speaker 1boost a man's, like, they say, it's like secondary hypogonadism.
7:26Speaker 1Okay? So
7:27Speaker 1that basically means and not their primary high. So if they were born with low testosterone, HCG apparently is not going to do much to them. Now if they,
7:36Speaker 1through their own usual, like, steroid or excessive testosterone use, have lowered their natural testosterone output now, right,
7:44Speaker 1now HCG will
7:46Speaker 1help with that. That will help get them a bit higher to where they
7:52Speaker 1naturally should have been.
7:53Speaker 1But
7:54Speaker 1it's not going take them any higher than that. Anybody who, if you know, have normal testosterone and it's declining because of just natural reasons, generally, HCG isn't really going to help much at all. So that's why.
8:04Speaker 1But Kisspeptin
8:06Speaker 1will
8:07Speaker 1because it
8:09Speaker 1starts the entire natural process. Right? Yeah. Right, right, right. That So makes that is cool. So for anybody, yeah, suffering from low tests and doesn't want to actually try testosterone,
8:20Speaker 1I would try Kisspeptin. I'd also try probably Enclomiphene
8:25Speaker 1similar
8:26Speaker 0for
8:28Speaker 1and I guess the fertility portion. Yep. It's going to also increase your fertility. And, you know, everything is still being researched. This is a new
8:36Speaker 1peptide,
8:38Speaker 1and research is absolutely ongoing. But in that research, they have absolutely found
8:44Speaker 1a lot of people that it's increased their fertility. Not guaranteeing
8:48Speaker 1everything. Like, you're not gonna guarantee you're gonna make a baby just because you take this, but it's worth a try.
8:53Speaker 1Any help I is
8:55Speaker 0think in today's world,
8:58Speaker 0especially guys, we just have worked with a lot of men in regards to fitness and just coaching and personal training, blah, blah, blah. And we've seen it, men's testosterone levels have plummeted.
9:08Speaker 0We could go on and on about the why.
9:10Speaker 0We'll set it to the side because it's not important. It is what it is.
9:13Speaker 0So these are things that are going to help you. Fertility, the same thing. Fertility ratios are down in regards to people. So, I mean, that was the reason, that was the main reason I started taking it. I've talked about it numerous times. My bride wants to have another baby. I'm gonna leave that in God's hands, but I will do the things that I need to do to help that maybe happen. So that's why I was That was the main reason why I was taking the Kisspeptin months ago,
9:37Speaker 0because of the fertility. I mean, the cool thing about women, too, is it's gonna regulate estrogen and progesterone.
9:43Speaker 0So
9:44Speaker 0it really is just going to regulate hormone levels.
9:47Speaker 0I think it's going to really try to just really regulate those.
9:51Speaker 0And in today's world, I think in my opinion, for whatever that's worth, I think the food is just shaking up our hormones and just they're just all out of whack just because the food's injected with hormones and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So this is gonna help that for sure. Absolutely. And so that yes, you're right. That's cool. So men take it. It's gonna go help directly kind of create some more testosterone.
10:14Speaker 1Women,
10:15Speaker 1yes, it will
10:17Speaker 1create a little bit more testosterone. But really,
10:19Speaker 1you're taking it, what's cool is its main function for women now is to help just balance out your hormones,
10:27Speaker 1Which is perfect, right? I don't know any woman I've ever been with who hasn't talked about their hormones being out of balance.
10:34Speaker 0Right. Menstrual cycles. So it's going to regulate their menstrual cycle. Let's talk about that. I mean, it is what it is. We've dated a lot of women in our day, and I can't tell you 1 that hasn't talked about their menstrual cycle being out of whack. So this can help with that. It can help with that. And I think what we're going to talk about next, oxytocin, there's a little bit more evidence on that 1 really helping with that. But
10:54Speaker 1yes, balancing out your sex,
10:56Speaker 1woman's sex hormones,
10:59Speaker 1which is important.
11:00Speaker 1Boosting libido. So let's kind of sit on that for a little bit because who in the world wouldn't want that? You know what I mean? So
11:06Speaker 1for the people, which I don't fully understand this because
11:10Speaker 1I don't know, man. I mean, PT-one hundred 41 is amazing.
11:13Speaker 1We've talked about it numerous times, but we've also had a lot of people say that it doesn't work. So I don't really understand it.
11:19Speaker 1But if that's 1 of the people you can maybe try
11:22Speaker 1that peptide and maybe try this 1 as well, compound them and
11:27Speaker 1see if that because it's supposed to boost your libido,
11:30Speaker 1so maybe give both of them a try. Yeah. Why not? Yeah. Like I said, like the
11:36Speaker 1the most most conclusive research on Kisspeptin is really
11:41Speaker 1showing that it's going to help with sexual
11:44Speaker 1desire and libido.
11:46Speaker 1And take it on a daily basis, right? Take a small amount. I think the suggested
11:51Speaker 1dosage there is maybe like 300 to 500 micrograms
11:55Speaker 1a day.
11:56Speaker 1Subcutaneous works.
12:00Speaker 1Yeah,
12:01Speaker 1men and women. Yeah.
12:04Speaker 0Works the same. Yeah, it's, I mean, it's, I mean, the benefits behind it are huge.
12:10Speaker 0Yep, yep, yep. It's a priority because I don't, you don't hear that many people talk about it. I'm glad whoever would had mentioned this in the last Q and A, we appreciate it because I think we were talking about the Kisspeptin, but oxytocin, we were not.
12:22Speaker 0And these 2 just really run
12:24Speaker 0awesome together. There's a lot of similarities. Obviously, they work different, but it's a boost testosterone.
12:30Speaker 0It balances your hormones. It boosts your helps with fertility.
12:34Speaker 0It's going to help regulate women's
12:37Speaker 0progesterone and what is it, estrogen, which is huge. That's huge, man, in today's world. So for anybody listening,
12:45Speaker 0you ladies, this will help. Can bring down stress, too. I know that oxytocin is known to do that as well.
12:52Speaker 0We live in a stressful
12:54Speaker 0world,
12:55Speaker 0so why not?
12:57Speaker 1Right? Doctor. Yes, it is going to say it's going to bring down stress and happiness.
13:01Speaker 1I mean, I think thatbut we know that testosterone
13:04Speaker 1does that for a man, right? True. Look, if you start taking testosterone,
13:08Speaker 1you're going to be happier.
13:11Speaker 1The little things aren't going to stress you out as much. You're gonna sleep better, right? Just everything is everything is better and happier. So
13:19Speaker 1to be honest, I'm not quite sure in the Kisspeptin if it's because it's increasing your testosterone. Now all those good things, mental things are happening or- It makes sense. Yeah.
13:28Speaker 1Makes sense. Yeah,
13:30Speaker 0I mean, we've talked about it for guys that,
13:33Speaker 0gosh, man, for you men, dude, that are just like depressed and can't get out of bed and just,
13:38Speaker 0it's always testosterone levels, man. Your testosterone levels are just low, dude. It's very easy to see when a man's testosterone
13:44Speaker 0is low. Just that depressed
13:47Speaker 0feeling.
13:48Speaker 0Low testosterone, dude.
13:50Speaker 1Yeah. And it's a vicious it's a domino cycle. It's like, look, dude, less testosterone, the higher estrogen, okay? The more fat that you have. The more fat that you have, the higher estrogen you have and therefore it's bringing your testosterone down and harder to burn off that fat, right? You
14:05Speaker 1got fat because I eat and I eat because I'm fat, right?
14:08Speaker 1I mean, you know,
14:10Speaker 1there needs to be a fundamental
14:11Speaker 1change to change that, right? No wonder you can't burn the fat
14:16Speaker 1or add the muscle
14:18Speaker 1because your testosterone is low and because estrogen is high and that has been high because you have too much fat.
14:24Speaker 0So-
14:25Speaker 0In the cycle.
14:27Speaker 0You go in the gym, you're tired, but you're still making yourself go, you're not seeing the results so you give up. Simple fix, man. Get your testosterone levels up. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
14:37Speaker 0Yep.
14:38Speaker 1Often, that's a simple fix. Right. So I guess the side effects, you mentioned that, but like really,
14:45Speaker 1side effects are so anybody who's if a man, if your testosterone increases, okay, our bodies like our normal ratio, which is this much testosterone, right, and this much estrogen,
14:54Speaker 1give or take, right? Some people have higher on the scale both ways, but everybody has their own ratio. Now, if we increase your testosterone,
15:02Speaker 1guess what? Your estrogen is gonna go try to find that same ratio, okay? If your testosterone raises
15:08Speaker 1a lot, then
15:09Speaker 1this estrogen is gonna raise a lot. And that difference in estrogen is all bad. Basically, that's what's gonna give you estrogenic side effects, okay? That's a good way to put that. That
15:18Speaker 1looks good. Those are water
15:21Speaker 1retention,
15:22Speaker 1nipples being sensitive, right?
15:25Speaker 1Any excess acne more like dotted out on your shoulders, etcetera, more oily skin.
15:31Speaker 1And those all can be cured by taking an
15:35Speaker 1AI,
15:37Speaker 1which most people call it an estrogen blocker. But Arimidex,
15:40Speaker 1Aromacin,
15:41Speaker 1Letrozole in
15:43Speaker 1harsh cases, but I wouldn't really assume that. So
15:47Speaker 1if you're feeling any of those symptoms while taking Estrozole will just completely shut the estrogen
15:53Speaker 0off, though. So if you're talking to right. If you're comparing yeah,
15:57Speaker 0it'll just kind of shut that estrogen down. So if your estrogen is extremely high, you can take the letrozole and it will shut it completely down. But the Rimidex
16:04Speaker 0is more where it's just gonna kinda try to keep it a little bit more balanced.
16:09Speaker 1Yes. You would have put that, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Arimidex is the weakest, and I shouldn't say weakest isn't a bad thing. Like, that's what every doctor's going to prescribe. That is- Sure. Because there is absolutely such a thing as just killing off too much estrogen.
16:23Speaker 1Aromacin is like is the it's not the harshest, but it is kind of the best. It is the suicidal. So it just basically goes in and just tries to kill kill off everything.
16:32Speaker 1And
16:34Speaker 1but I would start everybody with Arimidex
16:37Speaker 1because you don't wanna kill off all of your testosterone.
16:39Speaker 1If you do, you will have no sex drive at all. Yeah,
16:44Speaker 0that would, like, at all. Why I taking joints hurting?
16:47Speaker 1Your joints hurt. Your cardiovascular system isn't as good. You'll start getting winded if you walk upstairs. Your joints hurt because you have no estrogen and your body's purging all the water, you might look great. You might look super lean, but you're losing like even lubrication in your joints.
17:03Speaker 1So and if you've done this, I don't know if you ask me or you, like, it's easy to tell. I could just tell 100% if my estrogen is too high or too low. 100%, yeah. And the goal is to take as little of the pills as you possibly can.
17:17Speaker 1Acidrogen blockers or aromatase inhibitors,
17:19Speaker 1AI,
17:20Speaker 1are pills usually.
17:22Speaker 1They make them in liquid, but whatever.
17:25Speaker 1Take as little of those as possible yet still see no side effects.
17:28Speaker 1And everybody
17:29Speaker 1is different. Can't just say, Go take this many pills and it'll work. Beats me. You've got to try.
17:35Speaker 1I would say take
17:38Speaker 1Take them until you level out, symptoms are gone,
17:41Speaker 1stabilize 2 weeks, then drop a little bit, incrementally lower your dose, see how you do. If symptoms come back, then oops, last week bumped back up to what I was last week, that's probably your sweet spot.
17:54Speaker 0Yep. Yeah, I mean, obviously
17:56Speaker 0the best is to not run Arimidex or anything like that, right? Is funny because I mean, 1st off, if you find a doctor that prescribes you testosterone, good on you because a lot don't. So that's rad. What I have seen with a lot of people where
18:10Speaker 0they start breaking out and their doctor doesn't even know that's probably estrogen, which is crazy because we know that. And that can be simply fixed by Rimadex.
18:18Speaker 0But
18:20Speaker 0again, like using myself as an example, when I've struggled with that forever,
18:25Speaker 0and I just have it down. Don't struggle with it. I don't take Rimadex at all anymore.
18:30Speaker 0180 mg generally is where if I go above that, I do. So I'm just good with that. You know what I mean? So it takes a while to kind of find that. But again,
18:40Speaker 0I don't need to take it, so I don't take it. But a lot of doctors prescribe it and don't, they prescribe it where you don't you shouldn't just take it. Should
18:49Speaker 1take it if you need it. You know what I mean? So- Well, absolutely. You should not take I have taken it too early just when this was early on. Right? Like, if your estrogen is in check and now you take it, it's gonna kill off your estrogen, okay? And now it's gonna be too low and so your body's going, Shit, I don't have enough. Now it's gonna start trying to produce even more and you've just
19:09Speaker 1this whole plan has just backfired on you. Yeah. Because now your body's going hyperactive
19:14Speaker 1of producing
19:15Speaker 1estrogen.
19:16Speaker 1I've heard that happened to me.
19:19Speaker 0Is kind of like,
19:21Speaker 0to be example, guys, like the reason we know this stuff, because we've done it for a long time and it's gonna take a while to learn your body. It's gonna take a while. It just is what it is. Trust me. It's worth it. When you can get your hormones
19:35Speaker 0optimized,
19:36Speaker 0meaning running at the best you at the running at the best levels for you, Your energy is the best. Your sex drive is the best.
19:46Speaker 0That's what you're trying to get. Now, also, when you get there,
19:49Speaker 0the peptides work better. They'll still work, but like when you are hormonally optimized, meaning you find your sweet spot, which is radically different for everybody,
19:58Speaker 0you're optimized. You are where kind of God wants you, so to speak. Good way to say that. And then the peptide just enhance it all. Yeah. And it takes a while to get there. It just does. We've done it for a long time, and it took me a long time to find it. Is what it is. It's worth it. For sure.
20:12Speaker 1It's worth it. That's
20:14Speaker 1good, I guess. Yeah, man. Can talk to that stuff forever, man. Yeah, right. I could go on and all Forever and ever. Of the Serms and all the other side effects that potentially come along with any, like, AES use, but maybe for another day
20:28Speaker 1and how to tell, etcetera.
20:31Speaker 1I guess the last part is dosing
20:34Speaker 1on this thing. So
20:35Speaker 1generally,
20:37Speaker 1personally,
20:39Speaker 1I would do about 300 to 500 micrograms of Kisspeptin
20:43Speaker 1daily for
20:44Speaker 1the libido
20:46Speaker 1and
20:49Speaker 1mood and sexual desire.
20:51Speaker 1Maybe women do about 300, men 500.
20:54Speaker 1If I'm
20:55Speaker 1trying to make a baby, I'm gonna aim for 800 micrograms daily.
20:59Speaker 0Right. Generally,
21:02Speaker 1come in 10 mg bottles,
21:05Speaker 1which is 10000
21:06Speaker 1micrograms,
21:07Speaker 1okay?
21:09Speaker 1So we're aiming for, you know, 500
21:12Speaker 1to 800
21:13Speaker 1micrograms.
21:16Speaker 1Hopefully, you all can do the math on that.
21:19Speaker 1Maybe?
21:20Speaker 0Sounds good. Also, we have the the Peptide Institute research website that you guys can go to that we recommend to most people.
21:29Speaker 0Cool, man. That's a good 1. So, yeah, as as we said,
21:33Speaker 0that's a cool peptide. There's a lot. There's a lot. So if you are compounding it on top of testosterone, you might have the same problems as me. If you're not taking testosterone,
21:42Speaker 1I mean, you might not. Whatever. Depends on what you're taking it for, but does a lot, so give it a try. Okay. I also wanna state this, like, right, for all I know I've known JD for a while and, like, know that he's had a fitness channel and
21:54Speaker 1seen all the haters saying like, Oh my God, how much steroids do you do? Right?
21:59Speaker 1Like, I know he
22:01Speaker 1has estrogen issues and like literally cannot do more than 180 mg of testosterone. But we haven't forever. Which
22:08Speaker 1is pretty much a tiny amount.
22:11Speaker 1So for all of you who think that
22:14Speaker 1that's not hard work, it is.
22:16Speaker 1Doctor. Discipline.
22:18Speaker 1Doctor. Well, testosterone just helps a little bit.
22:21Speaker 1It helps a
22:23Speaker 1lot, but not in his physique because it's not taking a whole bunch. Generally, like the low smallest,
22:27Speaker 1the anabolic threshold is about 400 mg a week. At that, now it's really helping to build muscle.
22:35Speaker 1Being less than that, it's really it's boosting
22:38Speaker 1metabolism,
22:39Speaker 1helping you keep muscle, helping libido
22:42Speaker 1and brain fog and sleep, etcetera,
22:44Speaker 1helping you feel better, but not really
22:47Speaker 1helping out with the physique a bunch.
22:49Speaker 0Yeah, I mean, the key, I think, for everybody is
22:52Speaker 0feeling good, man, right? Like just keeping your energy level all day.
22:57Speaker 0That's what I seek at least, you know, where you have those crashes
23:01Speaker 0and it takes a little messing around with the numbers to figure it out though. I wish I could do more testosterone without getting big.
23:09Speaker 1You know what I mean? Like, just for the other effects and not for the physical effects. I wish I could do more. But unfortunately,
23:15Speaker 1yes, it comes along with
23:18Speaker 1adding 20 pounds of muscle that I don't want.
23:21Speaker 0True that, man. Each his own, right? Yeah.
23:24Speaker 0Alright, man. Let's dig into oxytocin.
23:27Speaker 0So it's the love drug. What's the love drug all about, bro? Who should take it and why? So
23:33Speaker 1we all have I guess here's the general thing, like, we all have well, maybe have heard of oxytocin.
23:39Speaker 1K, the love drug. Right? It is what
23:42Speaker 1women get filled with post sex,
23:46Speaker 1and it's what men get filled with during sex. Right? Those of you men who know who's who've had sex, my guess is that post sex, you're really not feeling super duper cuddly because
23:56Speaker 1then it's flooded out of you, but women are.
23:59Speaker 1So they get flooded with oxytocin.
24:02Speaker 1Well, pre and
24:03Speaker 1post sex, also like a woman when they just have a baby, right, they are flooded with oxytocin.
24:09Speaker 1So they just feel this overwhelming, like,
24:12Speaker 1love and want to
24:14Speaker 1touch and cuddle the baby. Right? And that's a survival mechanism for our children in the ancient times. Right? We want that woman
24:21Speaker 1to love that baby because the baby is defenseless and weak.
24:25Speaker 1We need the woman to hold it tight and keep it close to her at all times or else
24:31Speaker 1something's gonna kill it. This is like we're talking about caveman times. This is why biology
24:36Speaker 1we kind of evolved this way. So
24:39Speaker 1it helped. This is like God's way of making sure that our species survives.
24:44Speaker 1Good way to put it. And
24:47Speaker 1so, yeah, it's gonna give you overwhelming feelings of
24:50Speaker 1maybe not overwhelming. It depends how much you actually do. But that's what it does normally in the body. It also,
24:55Speaker 1I guess, clinically nowadays, the most common use for oxytocin is
25:01Speaker 1to induce labor
25:03Speaker 1with women
25:04Speaker 1and to help women lactate.
25:07Speaker 1I So, doc, that's what it is, like, FDA approved for.
25:14Speaker 1And,
25:15Speaker 1yeah, that's a common application today. Now
25:19Speaker 1it can be done
25:21Speaker 1and used for a bunch of different reasons
25:23Speaker 1that are kind of cool nowadays.
25:25Speaker 1It'll help men. I mean, and you can help me kind of rattle off some different things that this does. But
25:30Speaker 1it will help both men and women the feeling during sex, right, the actual sensitivity
25:35Speaker 1and the orgasm
25:39Speaker 1ease and intensity.
25:41Speaker 1Guess if you're a man and you have
25:44Speaker 1early
25:46Speaker 1too fast problems, you probably don't wanna take this.
25:49Speaker 0Makes you really sensitive. Yeah. So don't take it with PT-one hundred 41.
25:54Speaker 1Or do.
25:56Speaker 0Double enhanced. If
25:58Speaker 0you wanted extra good. My wife in general, bro, when I give her that stuff, she is sensitive, bro. So I give her this too. It'll be a doozy.
26:06Speaker 0It's kind of interesting though, you're talking about
26:10Speaker 0helps them lactate. You know, 1 thing that
26:13Speaker 0blew my mind, I don't know,
26:15Speaker 0you know, women are women and, you know, I'm not 1. So,
26:18Speaker 01 thing that I was super surprised by,
26:21Speaker 0well, not the surprise of a lot of women don't lactate well, that, okay, that's cool. I didn't know that, but there you go.
26:27Speaker 0And so they need to feed their babies. So women
26:31Speaker 0basically swap milk. It's a common I thought it was disgusting. I don't know, whatever. Was like, what? Because my That's why women sell milk on Craigslist. I didn't know that. So my wife, you know, I think when you had Jack's, I think some of her friends weren't lactating.
26:46Speaker 0They would, would, she would give them milk and I was like, That is gnarly. Like, Woah. She's like, It's totally common. And like, I was like, Wow, just wow, I was blown away by that. So
26:55Speaker 0interesting. So this will help if you're 1 of those ladies that come, you know, have that problem, this will help.
27:00Speaker 0It's common is the whole point of all that is it's more common than you when you know because it was multiple women that she would give her breast milk to. I think women know that, but us men don't.
27:08Speaker 0Yeah, had no clue. I thought it was gross, but whatever. I guess I'm wrong. Hey,
27:13Speaker 1man, when I had like an eye infection, I put breast milk in my eye. I- That's brings to my wife. She told you and it fixed it. Right? You're like, where's the breast milk in it? It did. I was like, oh, but okay.
27:25Speaker 1Need to fix it. Yeah.
27:28Speaker 0We were discussing this the other day, how ironically, where, you know, like my wife in general, we've chosen to breastfeed our boys for a very long time. And
27:36Speaker 03 1 of the reason being is that stuff we feel is of superpower,
27:40Speaker 0and Will and I are literally just discussing this. And my son, Jax, is he's
27:44Speaker 0off the chart smart. So I can't say for sure that it's the breast milk, but he was breastfed for a long time, and I definitely think it's a big part of it.
27:52Speaker 1I think so. I think that, you know, we always it's general it's in society like, Oh, man,
27:58Speaker 1get your kids to stop breastfeeding as soon as possible. That's embarrassing, right? Your kids this- Our doctor would like, Dude, as long as you can. But apparently,
28:07Speaker 1like, I mean, that stuff is, yes, is like an elixir of the gods. It makes so
28:12Speaker 1a kid that is breastfed longer is gonna be healthier,
28:15Speaker 1stronger.
28:17Speaker 0So we read, so we did it because of that. Yeah. So, mean, each his own, but I mean, poor ladies, my wife, man, has been breastfeeding now because then we had Mason right after and she just went from kid to kid, poor girl, but she
28:31Speaker 0was built for it, man. She was built to be a mom. Don't think every woman's, not every woman is so freely,
28:36Speaker 0you know, like my wife, but
28:39Speaker 0it helps, man. We're living proof. My son seemed pretty, pretty bright. Yep, yep, yep. There you go.
28:46Speaker 0Emotional So bonding, trusting intimacy,
28:49Speaker 0that's kind of cool. I mean, I know Will has tapped on that, but it
28:52Speaker 0helps to bring that bond with men and women.
28:56Speaker 0That's kind of cool. Know, men, I don't know, at least me. We were talking about this off screen too.
29:02Speaker 0Don't know, I don't like talking about emotions and all that stuff, my poor wife. I don't
29:06Speaker 0like to talk about all that stuff, you know? So this stuff kind of helps with that stuff, apparently. I haven't tried it, so maybe I need to try it. We have like a sensual talk. Yeah. Let's talk about emotions today. Yes.
29:17Speaker 1They have quoted in this
29:22Speaker 1We were reading a study earlier and it said, like the direct line was, Gives you a warm, peaceful,
29:30Speaker 1content state.
29:32Speaker 0Yeah, which is cool. Yeah. Well, it brings down cortisol, and we wouldn't even brought that up, which is a huge 1 because,
29:39Speaker 0like
29:41Speaker 0we were saying earlier,
29:44Speaker 0when you're ready to, like, fight or flight, like, it's because you had to fight something off like a bear. There's no bears anymore,
29:50Speaker 0but there is a bear. It's sitting in traffic. I don't know if you're like me. When I'm in traffic, I'm pissed. I hate it. I hate sitting in traffic. We live in Orange County, so it's part of the game, but
30:01Speaker 0this helps with that, man. It brings down cortisol to stress. So pretty darn cool. Yeah, if you could, I mean, which is huge, right? If this
30:10Speaker 1really, really effectively
30:12Speaker 1reduces and brings down cortisol, you can extrapolate
30:15Speaker 1that Essentially, if our cortisol hormone is going off, right, that's
30:21Speaker 1our fight or flight reaction, okay?
30:24Speaker 1When we are in that state,
30:26Speaker 1the last thing if we're talking about fitness, right, the last thing our body is doing is burning fat or building muscle, okay?
30:33Speaker 1Again, like you said, if that's going off, our body is programmed to be in ancient times, right, our body is actively literally just disintegrating our muscle, turning
30:43Speaker 1it into sugar and filling our blood with sugar to give us fast energy right now. It does not care about the future. It just wants us to get through this situation we're dealing with And right that would be like fighting a bear off in a cave with no food and it's freezing.
30:59Speaker 1So
31:01Speaker 1that sucks. So if we can and this is the same reason that we build muscle primarily. Really, all your muscle is built at night while you're sleeping. Why? Because we're not stressed out. Right? Our cortisol is that hormone is not going off, and our body can finally,
31:16Speaker 1Okay, I don't got to deal with these exterior stressors and deal with that. I can now just go back to kind of base mode, which is rebuilding everything,
31:25Speaker 1putting long short term memory
31:27Speaker 1into long term memory,
31:28Speaker 1building up actual muscle.
31:31Speaker 1You believe it or not, like, if you have a good night's sleep, you'll burn a lot of fat. Yeah. You will wake up later because your body is getting rid of all this excess bad stuff. This is getting rid of It doesn't need those fat stores anymore if you are relaxed.
31:47Speaker 0I don't even think we talk about that enough. I mean, I'll give you a quick little story just about me recently where I've actually talked about it quite a bit. I don't sleep well. I don't know, man. Like I said, I have a 4 year old and an 18 old. They're often in my bed and it's just is what it is. It's part of the game, right? So I'm getting kicked in the head, blah, blah, blah, and I don't sleep well. So anyways, I recently had my blood work from a good buddy of mine, and we're going through my blood work and blah, blah, And we're talking about, I've just been really tired, and like, take enough, I'm healthy, I eat right, blah, blah, blah. I shouldn't be as tired. And he said,
32:19Speaker 0Well, how are you sleeping? As doctors should.
32:22Speaker 0This is how doctors should talk. They should dig into things. Right? And I said, I'm
32:28Speaker 0not sleeping well. I haven't slept well for a long time, but I've just become used to it. So he and I were talking about this sleep, blah, blah, blah.
32:36Speaker 0A few days later, my wife and I got a babysitter for the 1st time since my 2nd son was born. We got a hotel. We got a ton of sleep. The next day, the boys were so tired, so they fell asleep really early, so I had 2
32:47Speaker 0rad nights of sleep. Here's the point.
32:50Speaker 0The next 2 days, I was firing on all cylinders.
32:55Speaker 0I was focused.
32:56Speaker 0I felt great at work.
32:58Speaker 0The point of that is sleep, man. I don't think we talk about it enough. If you're not sleeping well, man, like Will said, your body repairs,
33:04Speaker 0it's a big, big deal. And I know that, but I had not thought of it in a long time. My buddy kind of shined the line of it, and it's, man, sleep is huge. It's huge. It's huge. You ask any, like, pro bodybuilder where that's their job or
33:18Speaker 1athlete, right? I mean, when I was playing college football, like, our strength coach would be like, Now go get some sleep. Do not stay out partying all night long. Right.
33:25Speaker 1Get some damn sleep so your muscles can recover.
33:29Speaker 1Huge mess. It's
33:31Speaker 1so true.
33:32Speaker 1So, yeah, there you go. It will
33:36Speaker 1help stimulate and help
33:38Speaker 1balance out talking about hormones again, right? Really help balance women's
33:43Speaker 1hormones,
33:44Speaker 1help kind of get your menstrual cycle in check
33:49Speaker 1if it isn't in check.
33:52Speaker 1Increased orgasm,
33:53Speaker 1feeling of sensitivity, and just
33:56Speaker 1mutual
33:57Speaker 1feelings of closeness and bonding.
33:59Speaker 1They've
34:00Speaker 1done studies on
34:02Speaker 1PTSD.
34:04Speaker 1So given it to PTSD patients, a lot of studies say, know, some of the worst PTSD symptoms or
34:10Speaker 1subjects
34:11Speaker 1saw the most increase or decrease of their PTSD, which
34:16Speaker 0kind of seems Makes sense because it lowers the cortisol, so it totally makes sense. Brings calm calms calms nerves. They ran a study in
34:25Speaker 1addiction scenario
34:26Speaker 1and gave out, like, chronic alcoholics who were not
34:30Speaker 1who were craving alcohol when they had their worst cravings. They would give them like 40
34:36Speaker 140
34:37Speaker 1not milligram, 40 microgram or 40 IUs, which is like 80 micrograms
34:42Speaker 1dose
34:43Speaker 1right then and there. And the feedback on that 1 was overwhelming positive. Like, basically, everybody said, woah. It just took away my craving. Well, that's a trip, dude. Yeah. That's crazy.
34:55Speaker 1It's
34:57Speaker 1going to help you relax,
34:59Speaker 1take the stress off.
35:01Speaker 0Yeah. It kind of boosts your overall well-being, which is huge, again, with cortisol, blah, blah. But in today's world, is go, go, go, go, go, we are all caught in the rat race.
35:12Speaker 1This is 1 that's gonna help with that. Yeah, that was the other thing. On this fight or flight thing, guys, if you drink alcohol, alcohol is poison. Okay? So
35:22Speaker 1We all know, like, it doesn't burn off out of you until, like, 2PM the next day. So that entire time that we have alcohol in you,
35:30Speaker 1your body is now in this fight or flight stage and
35:34Speaker 1shooting off cortisol. Right? People are like, oh, I'm fat because I drink. Right? You're not fat. You're really not fat because
35:40Speaker 1of the calories that alcohol gave you. You're fat now because
35:44Speaker 1of your cortisol.
35:45Speaker 1Your your body is just never burning fat, and it is trying to store fat, right, because it's stressed and thinks you gotta fight a bear off in a cave.
35:53Speaker 1What did you do with me? Food. So it's trying to store all your food, plus your inhibitions on on food choices go out the window there, right, and see everybody else. I know the truth.
36:02Speaker 1Late night, like burgers
36:04Speaker 1because you're drinking. A, you make worse food decisions, but b, your body is in a constant state of just trying to store fat,
36:12Speaker 1burn muscle, turn it into sugar, which which inevitably gets stored as long term fat,
36:17Speaker 1and cycle again.
36:19Speaker 0That damn alcohol, man. I'll tell you a quick little story, a little side note. I think my people might find it funny. So when I 1st got sober, was did my sober living, then I moved down to with a buddy down by the beach, Newport Beach, and I'd be up early, right? So I'd be up early having my coffee, reading, you know, doing my readings. And right around 06:00,
36:37Speaker 0every weekend, I'd be sitting on the porch
36:40Speaker 0and there would always be these women holding their shoes walking down the street, you know, and they would always walk by because I lived on a street that it was a common street. And I'd always say,
36:50Speaker 0was it worth it? And I always got stuff like, no. No.
36:55Speaker 0Or can't. Yeah. Kinda funny. Don't drink alcohol, ladies. You won't be that girl. Yeah. Kinda find that funny.
37:01Speaker 1Yeah, no, no. Actually, that's cool. Oh, last thing is, right,
37:06Speaker 1it's seen in these clinical models, right, for actually labor
37:10Speaker 1induction
37:13Speaker 1in producing telling women to
37:15Speaker 1produce more milk.
37:17Speaker 1They are doing, like, IV injections or intramuscular injections.
37:21Speaker 1But for
37:22Speaker 1the common recreational
37:25Speaker 1use,
37:26Speaker 1my suggestion would be, like SubQ works, but I think nasal spray is gonna be the best route of administration.
37:33Speaker 0Yeah. That's That's
37:35Speaker 1where a lot of the tests and research has been done on
37:39Speaker 1general kind of mood happiness,
37:42Speaker 1brain, anti brain fog,
37:44Speaker 1and, yes, feeling social.
37:47Speaker 1I forget the word, but basically, like, just everybody, if you're well good in social settings,
37:52Speaker 1which we all know some people I haven't been, and
37:56Speaker 1it really helps do that. You'll start to like people a little bit more.
38:01Speaker 0Yeah, it seems like, I know this isn't nootropic, but, you know, we have talked about this numerous times where it seems like the nootropics
38:08Speaker 0can best be done nasal spray. I mean, it makes sense because it's going right into your brain, but logic's
38:16Speaker 0there.
38:18Speaker 0You know what mean?
38:21Speaker 1And I would say dosing on that guy is between, like,
38:26Speaker 1what should I equate it to? About 40
38:30Speaker 1to 60 micrograms
38:32Speaker 1a day,
38:34Speaker 1okay, for oxytocin.
38:37Speaker 1That's my answer that I'm sticking with it.
38:41Speaker 1But
38:42Speaker 1it's all a research project. You know what I'm saying? Like, we all
38:45Speaker 1need to try and try different things.
38:48Speaker 1Men, if you've taken
38:50Speaker 1way too much of this stuff, you might find yourself wanting to hold hands with each other, and that's probably time to lower the dose.
38:57Speaker 0He's
38:58Speaker 0so sensitive.
39:00Speaker 0He's taking too much oxytocin.
39:04Speaker 0Ladies, if you get a man that doesn't open up and want to talk about feelings,
39:09Speaker 0maybe give him some oxytocin.
39:10Speaker 1My wife's probably listening to this. She's gonna- She's like, Oh, I'm gonna spike his drink
39:15Speaker 1with that. Yeah.
39:17Speaker 0I married the right woman, man. I told her long ago, like, I don't wanna talk about all my feelings and emotions. She's like, Okay. She's a good 1. Good about stuff. Yeah. Talk to your friends. Yeah. That's what they're there for. They like it. It's just gonna stress us out and, like, make us unhappy and everybody unhappy.
39:33Speaker 0Didn't do that, man.
39:35Speaker 0Each his own.
39:37Speaker 1That was a good 1, man. These are interesting. These are good ones. I'm glad we dug into this 1. And more honestly, like on these ones, right, just like most peptides, there's just a ton of R and D going on and
39:48Speaker 1more will be revealed.
39:50Speaker 1Yeah. Hell yeah. And the downside is nothing really. Not much at all.
39:56Speaker 0Yeah.
39:57Speaker 0I mean, as we go and go, we learn more and we learn more and we learn more. We have never even pretended that we know at all. Just try to study it and try our best to kind of articulate
40:06Speaker 0the stuff that we know, but we definitely are constantly learning ourselves,
40:11Speaker 0constantly.
40:12Speaker 0Some things that we even thought months ago, we're like, oh, that's actually, we need to do it a little bit different.
40:17Speaker 0All should be seeking that stuff.
40:20Speaker 1True. Trial
40:22Speaker 0and error is huge. I mean, we've talked about it, Will and I, to take kind of, you know, go out in left field for a 2nd where people have discussed quite a bit in regards to the dosing of like GLP-1s,
40:34Speaker 0blah, blah, blah.
40:35Speaker 0I mean, if it reads on paper,
40:38Speaker 0that's awesome. But like, you know, we have worked with lots of many, many, many, many, many friends with hands on in here, and we can say that's the paper's wrong. Like in our experience,
40:49Speaker 0we have found different. So, I mean, I don't know, that reads on paper, great. But
40:54Speaker 0what's better than 1st hands on, like literally seeing physically seeing the changes in people and how they dose things? There's nothing better than firsthand knowledge, man. Nope. So that's how you're gonna learn yourself. Like, try it. Yep. So
41:09Speaker 0good stuff, man. That was a good 1. So next 1 will be the Q and A. I will be putting out the links today and tomorrow, and we will be recording on
41:17Speaker 0Friday for the Q and A. But anything else before we go? This,
41:21Speaker 1we did this based on someone's request.
41:25Speaker 1I remember that was. That was a good idea. We're open to request. You know, 1 other thing, 1 thing that we were gonna do was, and somebody else requested this, was
41:33Speaker 1they were interested in what type of, like, over the counter supplements that we
41:37Speaker 1take,
41:38Speaker 1that we like,
41:39Speaker 1had experience with, kind of like BCAAs,
41:42Speaker 1creatine, protein.
41:44Speaker 1So we might
41:45Speaker 1do that 1.
41:47Speaker 0Yeah, if that's something of interest, start blowing up our DMs and like, if that's something that more people are interested in, you know, different types of creatine. We've talked about monohydrate and HCL, blah blah blah. So stuff like that. If that's of interest, let us know. We're listening. Sure. We're gonna break down the 3
42:02Speaker 1different types of whey protein and how they're made in like
42:05Speaker 1absorption times. I don't know that. That's an interesting subject. And
42:12Speaker 1yeah, so we're open to requests.
42:15Speaker 0Good stuff, man. Well, alright, guys. We will catch you on the flip side.
42:19Speaker 3Take care. Good night.
