Overview
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide that sits upstream of gonadotropin-releasing hormone in the hypothalamus, and its discovery substantially revised the understanding of how reproductive hormone signalling is initiated.
It has genuine academic research behind it, including human studies from established groups examining reproductive hormone regulation and, separately, effects on sexual and emotional brain processing. It is a research tool and an investigational agent rather than an approved therapeutic.
