I'm excited for today. Yeah. I think a lot of people are. There's been a lot of people that have been waiting for this. So without further ado, we have Danny Carroll, who is a holistic health coach. It's associated in India with yoga and other, 2:09 Speaker 2: modalities of Eastern healing. Right. So it's fun. Right. So we're gonna talk a lot about that, but we're also gonna talk about water. Hell yeah. What what are we drinking? What's in the air we're breathing? 2:22 Speaker 2: All good stuff. So tell us a little bit about what you got. 2:26 Speaker 2: We're gonna dig into the water thing, but tell us a little bit about you and how you landed here. 2:32 Speaker 4: Loved it, and thank you both for having me. This is super fun. 2:36 Speaker 4: It's 1 of those things that when you find out something that you're passionate about or something that changed your life, you're like, I need to spread this and make sure other people have it. So this is a privilege to be here. So thank you. Love it. So my name's Danny Carroll. I have been a holistic health coach for 17 years, a yoga teacher and fitness enthusiast for 18 years, and an Ayurvedic specialist for 12 And 3:03 Speaker 4: so I lived in India for a little bit, 3:06 Speaker 4: lived out there, and that definitely had an impact on how I see the world and health and 3:12 Speaker 4: how we can support ourselves. 3:14 Speaker 4: And so what happened 3:16 Speaker 4: briefly, 3:17 Speaker 4: like all things, 3:20 Speaker 4: me discovering the water was a reaction 3:23 Speaker 4: to something else that was going on. And I think that's most of how our society 3:28 Speaker 4: functions is we're very reactive. Sure. Most 3:31 Speaker 4: people are not in the position of being proactive or preventative. Head of the curve. Exactly. 3:37 Speaker 4: And so what happened for me was I was in school, 3:41 Speaker 4: working towards nutrition and, food dietetics 3:45 Speaker 4: degree at Cal State Long Beach and ended up not finishing for many reasons. Got in a lot of fights with my professors on what qualified as proper nutrition that now science has finally come. Good 3:57 Speaker 4: for you. It's like, I was just 15 years too ahead, so that's okay. 4:02 Speaker 4: So I was getting my degree. I was a yoga teacher. I was a holistic health coach. And when I was 16, 4:08 Speaker 4: going through puberty, liver body changes, all this, I ended up having an autoimmune disease surface. And 4:14 Speaker 4: so what happened was that began my journey of like, how do I fix this? And my autoimmune presented itself as 4:23 Speaker 4: full body aches, 4:24 Speaker 4: like severe joint pain, misdiagnosed 4:27 Speaker 4: with rheumatoid arthritis because of how severe it was, 4:31 Speaker 4: and 4:32 Speaker 4: skin issues. 4:34 Speaker 4: Head to toe, once a month, my skin would peel. Cool. And it was At 16? At 16. Oh, that's brutal. Well, yeah, especially because I was on the water polo team. So not only is my skin peeling from head to toe, but I'm in a bathing suit while that's happening. You can't hide anything. Yeah. Right? It was crazy. 4:52 Speaker 4: So my mom and my dad, amazing people. I'm so grateful for them in so many different ways. 4:58 Speaker 4: They 4:59 Speaker 4: took me to every doctor and every specialist. And I asked my mom how much money they think they actually spent trying to get this figured out, and it was in the tens of thousands of dollars because my mom has an autoimmune disease too. What's the deal? So we were going around every cream, every antibiotic, 5:16 Speaker 4: that's the big thing they pushed. I ruined my gut microbiome. 5:19 Speaker 4: I got really sick for a long time, headaches, 5:23 Speaker 4: brain fog, 5:24 Speaker 4: all of this stuff. And so 5:26 Speaker 4: I decided to do what I thought was best because the doctors I'd given up on, they were just prescribing and no change. Yeah. So I was like, okay, I'm getting my degree in nutrition. I'm working towards this. Food has an impact on us. For sure. So I started changing 5:41 Speaker 4: everything I ate, elimination diet, a la audio, autoimmune paleo diet, restrictive diet, sugar free, dairy free, grain free, 5:51 Speaker 2: everything. Where did you see the most change? Immediately 5:55 Speaker 4: when I went vegan the 1st time, 5:58 Speaker 4: but it was, again, it was reactive. So you see a short term 6:03 Speaker 1: change, and 6:04 Speaker 4: then what you get is 6 to 8 months later, 6:08 Speaker 4: things resurface 6:09 Speaker 4: or they come back into new Yeah, 6:11 Speaker 4: so every time I did this, 6:14 Speaker 4: I'd have great results 30 to 60 days, sometimes 90 if it was really good, and then the cycle starts back up. Usually, 6:21 Speaker 4: it started back up with these seasonal 6:24 Speaker 4: changes 6:25 Speaker 4: because your body is transitioning to the seasons around us 6:29 Speaker 4: and with stress. 6:31 Speaker 4: Stress disrupts your sleep. If you're not sleeping, you're not recovering. If you're not recovering, your body gets inflamed. If your body's inflamed, autoimmune So turns 6:40 Speaker 4: went through all this, I became, at 1 point, at my most drastic, desperate point, I was a raw vegan. 6:47 Speaker 4: I am sitting back and all of a sudden, 6:49 Speaker 4: everything comes back. 6:51 Speaker 4: Headache, 6:52 Speaker 4: joint pain, brain fog. My hair is thinning. I'm not feeling good. Low energy. I'm anemic at this point. It was brutal. And I'm like, this is bullshit. 7:03 Speaker 4: I've changed everything. Mhmm. I don't use those shampoos. I don't use the creams my body's absorbing. Like, what the hell is wrong? It's a pain in the ass, dude. So I'm working at this hoity toity gym, 7:14 Speaker 4: and my buddy, Colton, came up to me and he goes, I have something that'll fix it. And I'm like, sure you do. Yeah. Sure you do. Because I need a 6 foot 7 guy telling me, a 5 foot 5 girl, what I need to fix myself. And 7:28 Speaker 4: so I drank the water. 7:30 Speaker 4: It tasted amazing. 7:32 Speaker 4: It's, like, smooth and silky. I was like, okay, this is pretty awesome. 7:36 Speaker 4: And he told me the price of the machine, and I was like, ah, screw you. Yeah. This is not happening. Not happening. This 7:42 Speaker 4: yeah. I'm like, you're just trying to make a buck off me. There's nothing different. 7:45 Speaker 4: So what he did though, without realizing it, was he planted a seed. And I love that because it left me the space to do the research. And I had access to labs and research articles because of going to college. 7:59 Speaker 4: So while I was going to college, I started asking all these questions to my professors because we're talking about food. 8:05 Speaker 4: No one's talking about water. 8:08 Speaker 1: Why 8:09 Speaker 4: are we not talking about water if I'm getting a degree or certification 8:13 Speaker 4: in holistic health? Like food, food, you can go without for weeks. Oh, that was your actual degree that you were going to college. 8:21 Speaker 4: It's 8:22 Speaker 4: really awesome. It's a lot of science. 8:25 Speaker 4: Yay. So it's fun. But 8:27 Speaker 3: But yeah, we, you would go, what, 40 days without food, but when you go 3 days without water, you're dead. 3 days without water, you're dead. What's more important to talk about? Water. 8:36 Speaker 4: For me, it's water. Yeah. Because 8:39 Speaker 4: if something 8:40 Speaker 4: not having the substance in my body for 3 days can kill me, but I can go 40 days fasting. 8:46 Speaker 4: There's 8:47 Speaker 2: something off about our priorities of what we're talking about. True. It's so crazy when you just stop and think logically. Yeah. 8:54 Speaker 2: How logic is just always good. 8:58 Speaker 4: Oh, it's it's also like 8:59 Speaker 4: 1 of those things of 9:03 Speaker 4: oh, the the doomsday is coming. Uh-oh. 9:06 Speaker 1: That will. 9:07 Speaker 3: Yep. This It's 9:09 Speaker 4: why 9:10 Speaker 4: aren't we asking the question? 9:13 Speaker 4: Who stopped us from asking it? 9:15 Speaker 2: Why aren't the doctors That 9:17 Speaker 4: part. Well, it's funny too, because in 17 years, I've had probably around 30 doctors in my care because doctors aren't required to take a nutrition certification. 9:26 Speaker 4: So, 9:28 Speaker 4: but we have what's called an allopathic 9:30 Speaker 4: healthcare system. It's reactive, it's diagnostic, 9:34 Speaker 4: it is you 9:35 Speaker 4: walk in, the doctor says you have cancer. Now you must change your life. When you look at holistic or alternative ways of living, 9:44 Speaker 4: it's completely proactive. 9:46 Speaker 4: It's preventative. 9:48 Speaker 4: It's harder upfront 9:50 Speaker 4: because you don't have the urgency 9:53 Speaker 4: of a diagnosis. You don't have the cancer. You don't have the gastritis. You don't have the acid reflux. So why would I limit my acids? Why would I do all this stuff? 10:01 Speaker 4: It's not until people get the diagnosis that they actually seek change, and I'm part of that. Yeah. I didn't yeah. 10:07 Speaker 4: Yeah. I didn't look for water until I needed to. Mhmm. So Colton planted this seed of, I have this magic water. I think he actually culted that too. 10:17 Speaker 4: It tasted great. It felt great. I knew I wanted it. I didn't like the price. I didn't see the value 10:23 Speaker 4: in it. And he was very young. 10:26 Speaker 4: We're both very young. He didn't ask the right questions. And so 6 years go by. 10:32 Speaker 4: And throughout those 6 years, I'm researching this. I'm 10:36 Speaker 4: sending waters and to labs. I'm asking friends to test it. I am seeking 3rd party information because I have a little distrust in 10:47 Speaker 4: big pharma and in the government, know, all those are gonna be? -Just a little bit. 10:51 Speaker 4: So 10:53 Speaker 4: for 6 years, I researched it and I had my 1st daughter River, 10:58 Speaker 4: great name for your sunglasses for my daughter. 11:01 Speaker 4: And I went through postpartum depression and I just remember seeing 11:05 Speaker 4: myself as so 11:07 Speaker 4: low vibrational. 11:09 Speaker 4: My breast milk was low, my body was low, my mindset was low, and I was eating well. Meeting all the right things. I'm resting. I'm doing all the things they're saying something's still not right. My autoimmune comes back. So 11:22 Speaker 4: I call Colton. 11:24 Speaker 4: I say, Can I just get some of that water from you? 11:27 Speaker 4: And he's a smart sales guy. So he goes, Yeah, come over to my house. You touch the machine. You fill it up. I'm like, oh, looking back now, I'm like, you know exactly what you're doing. Well done, my friend. Makes sense. And 11:39 Speaker 4: he said, look, I'm having this event this weekend. 11:42 Speaker 4: If you decide to get your machine now, I'll give you a free ticket to the event. And I was like, sold. Done. Called my husband. I said, I love you. I'm asking for your support, not your permission. This is what I'm doing. And I have the best husband in the world. And he jumped right on. And what happened over the next 90 days is why I'm sitting here right now and I can't shut up about it. So 12:04 Speaker 4: within the 1st 2 weeks, 12:06 Speaker 4: brain fog goes away, 12:08 Speaker 4: joint pain goes away. 12:10 Speaker 4: Pretty freaking awesome. Sure. 12:12 Speaker 4: Within the 1st 4 weeks, 12:15 Speaker 4: not having 7 cups of coffee anymore. Mhmm. As a postpartum mom, coffee was life. Like, tap me up with an IV. Let's go. So to all of a sudden go to 2 cups a day and not feel the energy crash, that was insane to me. 12:31 Speaker 4: Now, the skin cycle has between a 30 and 60 day replenishment. 12:35 Speaker 4: So every 30 to 60 days, your skin replenishes yourself. We shed, basically. We shed our skin like a snake. Shed like a snake. And that's why you wanna dust your house because most dust is actually dead skin cells floating around. Somehow dead skin is under your bed. It gets everywhere, dude. It gets why you wanna shower before you go to sleep at night Mhmm. Instead of living all day with all of your dead, disgusting skin and then just roll around in your sheets. 13:00 Speaker 4: Here's the thing too. The skin is the only organ that does that. 13:03 Speaker 4: Yours you're we have an exposed organ. Mhmm. It's the largest organ of your body. And so a lot of how healthy or unhealthy we are, you can see on your skin. 13:15 Speaker 4: Bags under your eyes, dry skin, redness, blotchiness, 13:19 Speaker 4: itchy skin, infected. 13:21 Speaker 4: You can tell when someone's hydrated, healthy, like thriving and when not. So at about the 45 day mark, 13:30 Speaker 4: all of a sudden I realized my skin is still on my body. 13:34 Speaker 4: It's that was huge. It was it was a victory when you go from, like, having sores all over your scalp Yeah. Till you can't shower because it hurts, and then you have gross hair that you throw up in a bun and all this stuff. Like, it it was embarrassing. Yeah. Isolating, 13:51 Speaker 4: lonely, 13:52 Speaker 4: exhausting. 13:53 Speaker 4: So at 45 days, I'm like, oh crap, it it's just delayed. It's coming back. It's coming back. 60 days, it doesn't come back. 14:03 Speaker 4: 90 days, I'm actually 14:05 Speaker 4: glowing. 14:06 Speaker 4: Like, what the hell? 14:09 Speaker 4: Women spend billions of dollars a year on beauty products to make them glow. Yeah. I got mine in my kitchen. Okay. So now we're at 90 days. And because I'm a skeptical person, 14:23 Speaker 4: my dad was in market research for 40 years. So I understand how marketing works. I understand placebo effect. I understand that we can convince ourselves a lot of times. So- what works if it you think it's working. Exactly. 14:36 Speaker 4: And if it works for you, fantastic. 14:39 Speaker 4: I like to know. Mhmm. I don't wanna go with an anecdote 14:43 Speaker 4: with a case study. I want facts, figures, science, especially if I'm gonna share it with people. Sure. So I went to the 2 sickest people I knew, my mom and dad. Uh-oh. I didn't have to walk far. 14:56 Speaker 4: My dad, at that point, was 300 pounds, 14:59 Speaker 4: stressed out, 15:01 Speaker 4: stenosis of the spine, 15:03 Speaker 4: was getting gout every 15:06 Speaker 4: 60 to 90 He 15:07 Speaker 4: was a big drinker at that time. Big drinker, high stress, all that. 15:12 Speaker 4: So I put him on the water, and I put my mom on the water. My mom, rheumatoid arthritis, 15:16 Speaker 4: autoimmune, 15:18 Speaker 4: low energy, high brain fog, and chronic dry eye. Like, always dry as she was going through a bottle of drops a week. Wow. 2 weeks go by, 15:28 Speaker 4: and my mom goes, 15:29 Speaker 4: oh my god. She calls me. She goes, oh my god. I opened the peanut butter by myself. 15:35 Speaker 4: Because her hands were so swollen and so arthritic. She couldn't open 15:41 Speaker 4: bottle. She had to ask my dad or my brother or me to do it. So she got her independence back. Yep. Brain fog went down. Her skin started clearing up just like mine did, 15:51 Speaker 4: and she's finding a little more energy. Like, okay, that's 2 for 2. It's huge. But it's both women, so I need a guy to come in and tell me what's I'm like, come on, dad. Let's go. And my dad is big 1 of the biggest skeptics in the world, not because he's an asshole, although he can be. He would be a self professed asshole. 16:08 Speaker 4: But because he likes to know. He likes to know. He worked in market research. He knows how easy it is to manipulate people. 16:15 Speaker 4: So he goes 1st thing is he refused to drink it. Uh-huh. He goes, I'm not gonna drink I just went to Costco and bought a big thing of Dasani. I'm gonna drink that 1st before I drink your stuff. I was like, okay, dad. That's fine. Finishes Dasani. Couple weeks go by, go over to his house. At this point, his gout was on his toe so bad he couldn't walk. 16:37 Speaker 4: I put him on the water for 2 weeks, and I'm like, 16:41 Speaker 4: what's your experience been like? 16:43 Speaker 4: He goes, Well, my foot doesn't hurt. He's like, Oh, it was I lost a little weight. 16:48 Speaker 4: I'm not drinking, 16:50 Speaker 4: and my stomach doesn't hurt. I was like, Oh, could it be the water? He goes, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe, maybe. A month goes by, gout doesn't come back. 2 months go by, gout hasn't come back. Acid reflux is gone. All of this stuff might help 3 months, 4 months later, my dad goes, All right, give me a machine. I was like, Let's go. 17:09 Speaker 4: Ever since then, 17:11 Speaker 4: I have seen 17:13 Speaker 4: And I make no medical claims. This is just personal experience of what I've witnessed and what I myself have gone through. You know that well. Oh my gosh. No medical claims here. But what I have witnessed in the past 17:25 Speaker 4: 7 years of being face to face, belly to belly with people changing their water is I have seen gastritis 17:32 Speaker 4: magically go away, 17:35 Speaker 4: acid reflux 17:36 Speaker 4: cured. 17:37 Speaker 4: We're talking 17:38 Speaker 4: personally dozens of people off 17:41 Speaker 4: Pepcid, 17:42 Speaker 4: off Tums, 17:44 Speaker 4: off all of these prescription things. 17:47 Speaker 4: We're seeing reversal of throat ulcers from people who have had a lot of acid popping up. I'm watching skin transformations, 17:56 Speaker 4: people who have cystic acne since their teen years, all of a sudden their skin is better. 18:01 Speaker 4: I'm seeing brain fog lift from people, moms, 18:05 Speaker 4: their breast milk goes from little to just booming supply, which that is liquid gold. Holy 18:12 Speaker 4: shit, that was amazing. 18:14 Speaker 4: And so I'm seeing 18:16 Speaker 4: thing after thing after thing, and I'm like, well, I need to know why. 18:20 Speaker 3: Yeah. So what was wrong with you? Why? And why did the water change it? Yeah. 18:24 Speaker 4: Think of it this way. Like how much water do you drink a day typically, 18:28 Speaker 3: if you had to roughly guess? I'd say, Leah, this thing probably, well, 18:33 Speaker 4: probably 4 of those. Okay. So like 0.5 a gallon to 0.75 of a gallon. Okay. About the same. About the same. Cool. Same. Okay. Same. 18:43 Speaker 4: What type of prior 18:45 Speaker 4: to us, prior to you meeting me and having the experience you've had, what water were you drinking? Tap water. Tap water. 18:52 Speaker 2: Not tap water. I would buy, like like, I don't know, from the store. Okay. For sure. What made you With the I would I always drink with silk, Celtic salt. 19:01 Speaker 4: You were remineralizing it? Every time. Why why were you remineralizing it? Because it doesn't absorb. 19:06 Speaker 4: There it is. 19:07 Speaker 3: So with tap water, what made you choose tap water? Well, I'm from because of because of just ease, and I don't really I'm not, like 19:15 Speaker 3: I'm not as fancy. I don't know. Yeah. I don't care to have it. I know it tastes bad. It tastes bad here. I'm from Seattle where tap water tastes great. Tap water tastes great in Washington. Here, then, you know, I don't know. It's just too much of a pain, so I just I don't really just whatever. Tastes bad, but I'm just drinking. Don't drink. A lot of people are in the same spot as you Yeah. And same spot as you. It's they have this idea that either all water's the same. Yeah. So what difference if I'm drinking out of the faucet or if I buy the bougie water that came over from Italy? Like, it's just water. 19:45 Speaker 4: Mhmm. That's how most people classify. It's just water. 19:49 Speaker 4: When 19:50 Speaker 4: you start to understand the industry of water, 19:54 Speaker 4: things come to the surface. The same way, the industry of food, industry of health, 19:59 Speaker 4: water is a multi billion 20:01 Speaker 4: dollar a year industry. 20:03 Speaker 4: Yeah. Water is the number 1 selling beverage 20:08 Speaker 4: over Number 12 20:11 Speaker 4: 1 selling beverage. It beats alcohol. 20:14 Speaker 4: It beats juices, it beats tea, it beats everything. 20:18 Speaker 2: That makes sense though. I mean, think about it, if you're running in, in your pot, you're gonna run-in and grab some water. 100%. We these at night usually Yeah, for 20:25 Speaker 4: for most. We hope it's all good. Unless you got a problem. All the emergency supply of water that people buy or just buy a bunch of case of water to give out to people, blah blah blah, it's always water. It's always water. In the industry of water, then what's the difference between distilled alkaline spring water, mineral water? Oh, yes. So And all the brands. Yeah. And what's the difference? So here's the thing. We'll start with the bigger topic of tap versus bottled or tap we'll call it processed. It's processed water versus tap water. Okay? And even tap water is processed because it has to meet government regulations for safety so the people don't die of bacteria and all that type of stuff. 21:02 Speaker 4: So 21:04 Speaker 4: tap water is the most commonly drank water outside of when people are have gone from their home. So most people go for what, like, a Brita or something like that to do what they can to filter it. It doesn't do shit. I wish it did. It it's a good start. Yeah. It's a good start. It shows me of interest in this. 21:24 Speaker 4: I wanna encourage you to keep going, 21:26 Speaker 4: but there's a lot more to it. So a lot of people have a distrust of tap water. They've heard about the chemicals in it. They've heard about the treatment plants, the fluoride. 21:36 Speaker 4: And I would argue there's something bigger than fluoride in the water that people need to pay attention to, and that's chlorine. We'll talk we'll come back to write down chlorine. So we come to that. 21:46 Speaker 4: So tap water, people know it's not the best for them, 21:51 Speaker 4: which tells me they see a difference in water. They just haven't acknowledged it. It's there under the surface. They're just hibernating. They're sleeping on it. So most people go for 22:01 Speaker 4: bottled or delivery water. Of course. 22:04 Speaker 4: Well, 22:05 Speaker 4: the thing about bottled water in The United States is I don't care if it came from the most beautiful spring it's ever come from. 22:13 Speaker 4: We have packaging standards 22:16 Speaker 4: and treatment standards. 22:17 Speaker 4: They have to put something in the water to prevent algae from growing, 22:22 Speaker 4: to prevent disease, 22:25 Speaker 4: and to make sure that it doesn't go and grow bacteria. 22:28 Speaker 4: Yeah.
